I thought it was in an ESPN article... I can't find it again.
However, I could be wrong. Not stating it as fact. That comment from Hubbs just peaked my interest and I was working from memory.
I hope it is July. I want Marve.
Yeah I'm working from memory too but I don't recall anything about Marve trying to get in for summer school. I'm not too worried about him not having applied to UT yet. Plenty of time to work that out after he decides Friday.
I want Marve too. I think at this point he's deciding between the spread offense he's comfortable with (Purdue) versus the pro offense that will get him ready for the NFL (Tennessee). Hopefully his dad can talk some sense into him if the ESPN article is right and Marve is leaning towards Purdue now.

ESPN is really taking a hard stance on this one...
Marve bolsters Purdue quarterback situation - College Football Nation - ESPN
They might have to eat a healthy portion of crow sandwich on Friday.
How have I missed FlVol53 posting on Volnation...I've never noticed the name (or it even being mentioned here) until today....
The Marve's will not confirm it, but Robert has not made any movement to being admitted to Tennessee and it certainly feels like Schaad is right in reporting Purdue.
If you look at the different stations UT and Purdue occupy in the football world, it is possibility for Marve to simultaneously be a great pickup for Purdue and a dubious one for UT.
UT is a football power and one of the top 15 programs in the country. Purdue is at best a top 40 team.
Drew Brees notwithstanding, a talent like Marve is an upgrade from what Purdue would typically expect. UT, on the other should expect to get a quarterback equal to or better than Marve for a full 4-5 years and without any baggage from a run-in with his former coach.
Purdue told Marve if we don't have an answer by Friday we are pulling your scholly.
My guy is laughing...said RM is not going to Purdue has never been quoted saying he is going to Purdue. He will make a decision on Friday and it will be Tennesee.
He said Joe Schad has jumped the gun big time.
At the end of the day my guy could be getting played but he is pretty confident based on who he is speaking to.
