Robert Marve

Methinks not being able to meet with the coaches directly was a bigger deal that a lot of people thought/hoped.....best of luck to him...I hope he's more successful that I think he would have been here.

You're an idiot if you think Newton will do better. I'll laugh in your face to years from now when Marve is putting up good numbers.

The percentages of transfer QBs suceeding are very low...The Sneads of the world are the exceptions.

Heck yeah we can. But Marve >>> Heaps/Scroggins/Hendrix/Newton for the 2010 season and probably the 2011 season. Having him could the difference in 2-3 wins.

The one year starting at Miami and one year practicing/training in 2009 will make it that way, but with Heaps, I doubt it would be for long...Heaps will likely have a better 2011 than Marve...but this is all wild speculation, of course....

If Heaps and Marve came here I really don't think Kiffin would start Heaps in 2011 unless Marve just sucked balls.

QBs have had a way of doing that around here lately, unfortunately....

If they were both here, you could be right, particularly if Heaps were to take a redshirt year. But, if each set off at different schools...Heaps at BYU and Marve at Purdue...it wouldn't shock me if Heaps had a better 2011 season. Then again, Heaps hasn't proven anything on a college field...and Marve has proven that he can throw the occasional touchdown with a bunch of interceptions to not so good receivers and can have problems keeping his head in the game. There is not an obvious winner in this one, except the experience angle...and that can be important to say the least.

I honestly am not disappointed in his decision. No great loss imo. I think in the long run we are better off with Heaps/Scroggins/Hendrix. I think there is the potential for Marve to implode again and Im not sure he's a leader.

I've wished him luck if he came here all along...but basically hoped he wouldn't...I just can't get sold on him at all....but the experience would be nice, I guess.

You seriously think that a guy who got beat out by a QB who is 6'4'' 170 pounds. What has Marve done to make you claim he is the best QB coming out the next two years? Got suspended 2 times. He QUIT miami because he was not going to get to play. If he cant be the starting QB at the U, why do you want him to come here? and there is NO WAY IN HELL that he will have more of an impact then anybody coming out the next two years.

I agree there.
