Roe vs Wade Overturned

I’m on the fence about the death pentaly just because I think it gives the state too much power.

But from a strictly moral standpoint I find it infinitely better than abortion.
Pretty much.

Think about it this way.
They want to ban the death penalty because of a 10% innocent rate. I call BS on that but let’s concede 10%.
They want to keep abortion legal because of a .000001% complication rate.
Crazy

It would be like banning sex because of the risk of death from heart attack, stroke, neuro syphilis, monkey pox, or HIV.

Explaining it in a way that attempts to, yes! Especially when you take something as nuances as pre-natal development. There is little question the graphic was an attempt to make a fetus look as less human and alive as it could be even though it is 100% human and 100% alive..

Regardless, this does nothing to discredit the point. To me, the question isn't whether or not it's human or alive, it's whether or not it's a person.

Saying a 6-week fetus has a heartbeat helps to sway people because they think, "If it has a heart, it's closer to being a person than if it didn't have a heart." But it doesn't have a heart. I didn't know this when someone made this argument about a heartbeat at 6 weeks. Now I know more. Congrats, you do too. Don't be so resistant to new and valid information. It's a bad look for your cause. If you are in the right, you'll still be in the right, you'll just have more information.

Ok, what determines a person? Where are these determined criteria that clearly define “personhood?”

Regarding information, I doubt you have any idea how much time and energy I’ve invested in the subject. When I see something new that you are providing, I’ll take it under consideration.

IDK. I don't think personhood is clearly defined in any satisfactory way, with regard to this topic. That's the truth I'm trying to get to.

I don't care how much time you've invested into the topic, but those are some nice big balls you claim to have. [thumbs up]

So, let me make sure I understand. The critical question, in your mind. Is whether it’s a person. But, you don’t know of any clearly defined, or satisfactory way to define it??

LOL.

I didn't word that very well. A person is a human being with consciousness who deserves rights. What's totally unclear is when a fetus becomes a person. In other words, when is there consciousness? No one knows.

It's hard to believe consciousness exists before the heart does. It's hard to believe there is consciousness 6 weeks before the fetus starts moving.
