Roe vs Wade Overturned

Your claim was that 2 hospitals turned her away. This article said nothing about that.
It said she couldn't get an abortion in Ohio ... I will find an article that mentions she was denied an abortion in Ohio by two separate hospitals, though. I specifically remember reading this a year ago. I know I'm right.

Here is where one of the hospitals who turned her away is briefly discussed.

Rape victim, 10, denied abortion in Ohio after US Supreme Court ruling

I will find more.

That didn't say much. Also not sure a "child abuse doctor" is the best source for determining if an abortion can be performed. But I also think it's fair to say any new law will always have people questioning all the in and outs of that law. When in question, I would assume the attorney general of the state would be a great resource to ask for clarification right?

I don't see anything wrong with a children's doctor making that call. It makes perfect sense that doctors will err on the side of not performing the abortion, if they have a doubt about it's legality.

When that same Attorney General is a clueless f*** up like Dave Yost? I would be careful about making assumptions of any sort.

No, it wasn't a hoax. The 10 year old, pregnant, rape victim did exist, and she did indeed travel to Indiana to have an abortion. A man was charged with her rape.
Not a man, an illegal immigrant man. Don’t soften the story, present it as it is. Liberal media casually leaves that part out.

I'll do you one better than my last reply. I'll lay out what the hospital should have done. The doctor should have asked for an ethics committee to review the case instead of just using their own interpretation of the law. If the committee still wasn't sure they should have reached out to the state for clarification. Rather than turning her away.

What's most interesting is not just turning her away, but specifically referring her to a well known abortion advocate who then immediately went to the media with the story.

That doesn't sound a bit odd to you?

There are 3-4 * generals who find out about rapes on local bases before the colonel or general in charge of that base. Are they "clueless f*** ups" or is it fairly common for the ball to be dropped by people under them in notifying them of high profile cases?

I figured you would just move the bar. It's why I haven't wasted much time with this crap .... and I'm sure you will again.

Anyway, the story was anything but a hoax, as I have proven with links.

1) There was a 10 year old, pregnant rape victim in Columbus, Ohio. CHECK. (article linked)

2) She was denied an abortion in a hospital, in the state of Ohio, by a local child abuse doctor, due to a recent change in the state law, resulting from the Supreme Court's overturning Roe v. Wade. CHECK. (article linked)

3) The 10 year old girl did travel to Indiana to have the abortion, after being denied the service by the child abuse doctor in the state of Ohio. CHECK. (article linked)

4) A man was arrested and charged with her rape, the day after the Ohio Attorney General had questioned her very existence in an interview with Jesse Watters of Fox News. CHECK. (Fox News video linked)

5) That man, Gerson Fuentes, has since been sentenced to life in prison. CHECK. ( I can link an article if you need it)

None of your equivocations and spin controvert those 5 established facts.

1. Never made that claim.

2. “Child abuse doctors” don’t perform abortions and you said she was denied by 2 hospitals

3. Never denied she traveled

4. Never denied anyone was arrested

5. Again, never denied that

What I denied was the claim that Ohio state law prohibited her from receiving an abortion, and that she had to travel to Indiana due to Ohio state law

2. “Child abuse doctors” don’t perform abortions and you said she was denied by 2 hospitals
She was denied by two hospitals, but that is splitting hairs. Being turned away even once - is being denied an abortion. The person who turned her away had the authority to either approve of the abortion at their facility or deny it ... it was denied.

What I denied was the claim that Ohio state law prohibited her from receiving an abortion, and that she had to travel to Indiana due to Ohio state law
A doctor at one of the facilities, felt the law was ambiguous ... and turned her away. That has been a common complaint from MD's about how the law was written in Ohio.

Meanwhile Iowa passes a ban at somewhere around 6 weeks.

More Repub hypocrisy.

You want to outlaw abortion because you say life begins at conception so abortion is murder, BUT then you don't outlaw it.

If it's murder it's murder isn't it? Oh but wait, the Repubs have discovered they will get killed in national elections if they do a complete ban.

So murder is OK if it's early enough. Or maybe it's that murder is ok if outlawing it would cost you political power.

Or maybe you don't really consider abortion to be murder and this is just a political wedge issue, EXCEPT you now have to give a reason other than murder for outlawing it.

Whatever you claim as your reason, it's really just more hypocrisy from the right wing.

Republicans are trying to work with pro choice folks and you call it hypocrisy. They can't win with some of you

And yet you will ignore hypocrisy from the left. Remember when kids in cages was all we heard about when trump was president? Who built those cages, and has it stopped under Biden? If not, where is all the outrage? Has aoc had any photo shoots in parking lots pretending to cry over the children lately?
So I guess to Democrats, kids in cages are ok depending on who is president at the time.

You've got to be kidding. So if it's done because of a political compromise it's no longer murder.

The right has called it murder throughout the 50 years since Roe. They've said it had to be banned. Why would you compromise now? Easy answer, you're getting your butts kicked politically.

The left doesn't want your freaking compromise. The left believes a woman should control whether or not she has a child, even post-conception. It's her body. The problem you have is 60% of the voters agree with the Dems.

Don't act like you're now graciously offering compromises. You're compromising your so-called principles by condoning murder, IF you believe abortion is murder, because you know it's going to be a major issue in 2024.

Are you trying to justify your abortion hypocrisy by talking about immigration? So an immigration issue overrides murder? My point is you guys have called it murder for 50 years and now you're legislatively authorizing it in the first 6 weeks. Doesn't't that mean the Repubs are now legislating murder?

Besides you need to catch up on what's happening at the border. Cages and border detention were a Trump policy. The new Biden policy requires application to the US consulate in your country of residence before you ever leave. If you don't do that you are not allowed in and will not be processed. If you now enter illegally you are on a permanently banned list and whenever caught, you immediately go back.

Immigration at the southern border is down 70% since that policy went into effect.

I’m not justifying anything, I’m pointing out your hypocrisy. Who built the cages?

The educated and tolerant left...caught up in their own hipocracy to realize that there are more then Dems that exist...66 % of Americans agree with abortion limited ad cite the 1st trimester as the limit...so the restrictions your speaking about are more in line with most Americans not just radicals...crazy

Jesus, are you this dense? I’m very openly saying she did not have to travel to Indiana. Zero states in the country would have banned that abortion.

How can you not understand that? For the billionth time, I’m not saying she didn’t exist or didn’t have an abortion or wasn’t raped.

I’m very clearly saying in all 50 states she could have legally received an abortion. Therefore…the story is a hoax
Do you REALLY have to ask this?

I have a solution for you. Allow all abortion anytime. After the 2nd one, the woman gets her tubes tied permanently. 1 may be a mistake, but the second one isn't.

Ever consider the idea that 6 weeks is about something other than conception?

So you believe it’s acceptable to kill a fetus at 9 months gestation?
