You'd think that after Jennifer Granholm's lunatic rant at the DNC and the images of perfectly good homes being bulldozed in Detroit, the people of Michigan would come to the realization that the democrats have turned a once great state into the Albania of North America.
the Romney campaign needs to start hammering away at the mounting job losses in the coal industry as a result of Obama's "energy" plan
The Romney camp has screwed the pooch on many occasions during the election. It's still mind-boggling to me that they basically took the entire summer off. They could have had mounted an offensive and built up a solid lead. Instead they bought into the "the economy sucks will win easily" mantra. That's not working out well is it?
anyone who thought Romney was going to walk away with a win is naive. Even with the economy as bad as it is, when you have a media willing to continue to blame Bush and absolve Obama and the democrats of any fiscal malfeasance, any GOP nominee was going to have a tough time gaining traction in the polls.
Also, until he was officially the nominee, which he wasn't over the summer, he was restrained by FEC rules regarding spending money.
I think it's much more troubling that the Romney camp has gotten no traction in Pennsylvania. Obama won big in 2008 but Gore and Kerry squeaked out wins there. That's a state that republicans should at least be competitive in, especially in these economic conditions.

Actually, it's not. George W. Bush spent money like it was falling from the sky. In his administration, government spending went up at the fastest rate since the middle of World War Two.
The food stamp king is clearly a better choice..... Captain tax and spend liberal is definitely a champion of the people.....
It's a shame Obama replaced King reduce tax and spend. No child left behind, Medicare Part D (hey that's socialist), uneccesary Iraq war. The difference between dems and republicans (not what they claim to be, but what they are) is that Obama wants to impose an individual mandate to make people all contribute to a program that everyone will probably use (unless you die instantlly, you will spend at least a day in a hospital). Republicans are the party of personal responsability, yet complain about having to pay into a program that 99% will use. I was fortunate to have insurance before, but it has not changed at all despite the warnings of the right. This country has many problems. We need tax reform, and not just on the rich. You cannot justify raising taxes on one group (the wealthy) while half the population pays nothing. I would think long and hard about doing away with the EEC, especially as long as it rewards the poor for procreating. I would also make the capital gains taxable at pre-Bush-Clinton (yes, he sold out too (Glass/Steagle)}rates. Income is income. The truth is that we need real tax reform. We can't have a flat tax because treats such as the mortgage deduction have been engrained so deeply into our psyche that we can't make it happen overnight barring a national disaster. I hope we can "eventually" change as a nation for the better.
Tax reform would fix a lot of the arguments the Left run on. In fact it would basically kill their platform. The truth is... There are a lot of things they could do to help people and they just seem to blow hot air around a lot up on the hill. The system is pretty much broken. No matter which side of the fence you're on we're losing in this deal either way....It's a shame Obama replaced King reduce tax and spend. it's still a long way until November. As the 47% quote fades from voters' memories, Obama will have to confront: foreign policy blunders; growing national debt; and unemployment.
then again, once Obama is forced to talk about his record, the media will gin up another "controversy" or "gaffe."

Gramps, the media is being overly harsh on the campaign and basically why do you care?
You are not voting for him, you are not donating to his campaign, so why do you care?
