Ron Paul Can't Win

Then who else is left?

if true (and I don't believe it is) that's proof America deserves everything this next election will give them. Nothing changes but the name of the clown in the WH

Pretty much the case. Generally, can't hold high public office without selling out at some point. There are a couple exceptions but not many.

So you believe there is a chance Johnson could win?

absolutely not in the current environment but he's better than anyone currently running. Does everyone that loses waste time/money?

and a country that gives Bachman more airtime than Johnson is too messed up anyway

Definitely not a racist. Dude is legitimately a good human being. What a cool story, and response.

He was really trying to help the white woman. Nothing to see here. He's still a racist.

Let the attacks continue.

I have voted 3rd party in the past. Because I believe it's important to vote your conscience. I did so knowing my candidate would not win. I haven't decided which direction I'll go this time around.

Same here. Although the only presidential election I have been old enough to vote for was the last one in 2008, I did vote for a 3rd party candidate. I know some people say "Its a wasted vote", but I simply can't go against my conscience and vote for someone I disagree with (McCain and Obama both in that Election). I also have yet to make up my mind on this upcoming election.

There are ~650 posts in this thread and only ~200 in the general GOP thread. RP generates interest.

He is like Obama, either you love him or hate him no gray area. With most of the other GOP candidates most GOP voters say I want x but could live with the others.

Voting 3rd party is not a waste.

You may not elect your candidate this time, but it is a process. The way the laws are rigged, any 3pc is at a severe disadvantage in terms of funding, ballot access, etc. The only way for them to get a (more) level playing field is to get x% of the vote (cant remember the exact percentage) in this election for the next election.

Also, it tells the establishment parties that we don't love them anymore. The GOP still clings to this idea that they can run anyone and we will vote for them simply because they are not the Dem. We have to tell them that this is not true. Otherwise we will keep getting the same crap over and over.

Anyone with half a brain could tell that Obama's policies and ideas were crap. But he won. He did so because a) he wasn't GWB and b) he is black (here comes the hate, but I know several people who voted for him because they thought it would be good for a black man to be president. too bad it wasn't important to them that the right man be president.) My point is, the Dems aren't doing any better in the candidate dept lately either (dole, kerry).

If you don't like the status quo, then you MUST vote for something else. That something else is a 3pc.

The problem with voting the lesser of two evils is that you are still voting for evil.

You're making too much sense...

More and more people are waking up to this. It gives me hope.
