right, keep making assumptions like that and I'll start calling you "gsvol, jr."
Maybe you should read it again because it's clear you didn't comprehend what I wrote.
I did and it was funny. Why didn't Lieberman simply run as an I when it was obvious that was the way to win? He is a Dem, got beat and then ran as an I to get the stupid Repubs to vote for him too. What good came of that?
Do you only advocate people run if they have a chance of winning? Should they just choose the letter next to their name depending on the election?

No, that is what the primary process is for, so the voters of a particular party can decide the best candidate for them. My first choice was Cain, I would not support him if he decided to run on a 3rd party ticket. Why would I volunteer to throw my vote away?
What would be the purpose in him running as an I? he has less chance to win the general as an I than he did to win the R nomination.

My only issue with you and people like you is that you don't want to make the tough decisions right now. So you support guys that want to nibble and tweak at the problems with out really making any necessary changes. This country cannot continue down it's current path. At some point, we have to change direction.
A vote for Romney is a "safe" vote. There's no urgency in his message.
Depending on what state you are in, the number of votes a party's candidate received in the prior election helps to make it easier for that party to get a candidate on the ballot the next time around, from what I've been able to understand. So really, voting 3rd party in this election will help to lay down the ground work for the next election.I would sit at home. You might as well vote for yourself if you vote for a 3rd party.

I already know I'm voting 3rd party in this election unless something changes. In no way do I see it as throwing my vote away. In fact I see voting for a candidate that you don't believe in to be a wasted vote
