Ron Paul Can't Win

I guess i worry to much...
OR
i know how the media will spin the boos that he got.

My hope is with the grassroots, Paul has a very strong base that is willing to do darn near anything for the man.:good!:
You can't worry about the boos. You know they're coming every time foreign policy comes up. I really wish they'd do these things without an audience.

He really sounded like ranting old guy a few times.

No, he's not the most eloquent speaker. For me, exceptional speaking skills are way down the list of things I look for in a presidential candidate. I like his stance on the issues and the fact that he doesn't back down even when all those other guys on the stage and half the audience are opposing him.

And to Romney, going in whatever direction the winds of public opinion blow doesn't make you right, either.

Anybody have any issue with his age? Nobody really talks about it but ....

As he often says, wanna go for a bicycle ride?...lol
The guy is in great health, i think he rides 5-10 miles a day on his bicycle, and has challenged many to keep up with him...lol

We all gotta die at some time. James Dean or Robert Byrd... most of us fall somewhere in between those two.

According to the survey, if the November election were held today and Romney were the Republican presidential nominee, 48% say they'd vote for the former Massachusetts governor, with 47% supporting the president. Romney's one point margin is well within the poll's sampling error.

The poll also indicates Paul statistically tied with Obama, with the president at 48% and the longtime congressman at 46%

Nope, he can't win there is no way.

What it basically comes down to is this, unfortunately.

If Romney is the nominee, the libertarians sit home and the moderates go to Obama. The result is 4 more years of hope and change.

If Paul is lucky enough to even crack through and get the nomination, the status quo GOP voters will stay home. Not enough moderate voters will be enough to overcome the loss of the status quo members and we get 4 more years of hope and change.

What makes the most sense is for Paul to get the nomination and for the Congress to continue to run their warhawk agenda in their individual races. Then, you can have a Ron Paul POTUS and GOP controlled House and Senate that will be free to stir up all of the chaos and mayhem they want in the Middles East if they just declare war.

I think Obama will defeat Romney. This is of course only my opinion, but I think the swing will be because:

1. The GOP primaries stirring up the warhawk crowd with Iran.

2. Romney appearing to be a typical politician who's private sector experience doesn't give off that warm-and-fuzzy, one of us, type feelings.

3. I really think the big government, freedom stripping, Bush hangover will show its head again with a Romney candidate. I don't believe the moderate crowd attaches the economic conditions to Obama, but rather the crash which came under Bush ( undeserved, but still).

To the polling station and voting for the guy not named Obama.

The upper middle classs suburbanites of Charlotte, Northern VA, and Philly/Pitt voted O in, and they will vote him out

I don't think the moderates have enough disdain for Obama to vote against him. They would just sit home, if anything.

Not saying no/zero moderates would vote for Romney, but it won't be enough to tip the election in his favor.
