Ron Paul Can't Win

I do not see him doing well in SC, if he can pull a tight 3rd i think its a major win for him.
I honestly think with Paul its just getting the message out there to set the foundation for Rand to run in 2016 or 2020.

I know he won't get the nomination, the Romney machine is nearly unstoppable, especially with Goldman Sachs money in his pocket, and they seem to be hedging their bets by supporting both Romney as well as Obama.

Awareness is key and he is having an effect.

I agree if he comes in 3rd in SC. that would be huge for Paul. SC. and Fl. are going to suck. Im also thinking the same about the message and getting it out there to set up 2016.

There's a lot of things to pick at Paul for. But it's funny that the GOPers choose foreign policy where the guy has more support from the military than any other candidate (not to mention the only one that served).

2 things here. He did lose by about 40K votes last night so let's not act like he just barely came in second. Also, both Iowa and NH was open voting where so dems could vote also so I am going to guess about half of his votes came from dems.

I think Rick Perry might disagree.

Rick Perry is not a real candidate. He made that clear when he came out with his 'Strong' ad and then reinforced the notion that he is a joke when he stated that he would send our troops right back into Iraq. Perry is fun to watch when he is drunk, though:

I'm searching so hard for a candidate to like of this group, but I just can't. I saw this video earlier today, and really liked it. In fact, it has got me considering Paul a little more, now.
I really like the guy on some issues, but I really disagree with him on a couple. Then again, I definitely don't agree with ANYONE on every single issue.

Sounds like you have a pretty open mind about him. I didn't like everything about him when I discovered him. I recommend reading Revolution: A Manifesto. It's fairly brief and really interesting. You may not walk away agreeing with all his positions, but you'll respect his positions, and have a better understanding of his reasoning.

Agreed. I do think the strategist is right about Paul's base and his ability to appeal to the independents.
