Ron Paul Can't Win

Has to be disappointing to finish behind Gingrich in a place like Nevada. I figure the western states would be the one place where he could have pulled some delegates.

I don't think the finishes even matter at this point. Being in the top 3 or 4 is a huge accomplishment for a candidate like Paul.

Do you think he would still be finishing top 3 if some of the more sought-after candidates like Chris Christie or Mitch Daniels were in the race?

We get the government we deserve, I guess the American people are not tired of the needless wars, as well as endless spending. Voting for a guy like Romney or Gingrich ensures more of the same, I have tried to tell myself it's not about RP winning, it's about getting the message out there, the message of liberty.
We gripe and moan about not having anyone who we can trust to vote for, and finally we have someone who is honest and is interested in defending our liberties and we allow the media to rape the man. It's all just so dishearting.

Just had to vent.

Romney will be another Obama for the most part.. Just another politician. We need Paul, imo.

I think he be in roughly the same position. If Daniels was in, Newt would have never made it past New Hampshire.

Paul will finish in the top 4 in every GOP primary or caucus he participates in all
the remaining 2012 contest.

I bet ya 10

Dollars.

I'm not sure it would make much difference. All the polling I've seen indicates his supporters would wind up roughly evenly divided between Willard Mitt Romney and the Newtster.

If you favor federal intervention at home, you're a liberal. If you favor federal intervention abroad, you're a conservative. If you favor both, you're a moderate. If you favor neither, you're an extremist.

Mitt Romney wins 2012 Maine caucuses - Tim Mak - POLITICO.com

Romney wins by 3 points over Paul in non-binding caucuses and Paul supporters are screaming about foul play.

It's Paul's supporters that are going to be his biggest liability. Even here in VN if the Tao of Paul is questioned, the questioner is called things like "ignorant", "lazy" and a "hater of freedom".
The whole "legalazation" idea has RP supporters clamoring to get into things they lack the ability or judgement to understand.

Yeah, when they refuse to count the area Ron Paul has the most support in because the caucuses were delayed due to weather, it's bull****. They still get delegates, etc. but the media is going to portray Romney as the winner.
