Not like football.

I like Dooley and am not sure what to expect.

I wouldn't be surprised if he turns the program around.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he tanks.

Let's not kid ourselves though. He was far from the first choice and he only got the job because the first 10 guys on the list didn't want to leave at the last second.

Need an oven?

So is Fisher resigning tomorrow? Oh wait, this thread was about something significantly more important.

If you honestly think that, then you should just give up on watching sports in general.

So because I can't pick my teams head coach, I should give up?

At least I'm not a bandwagon fan. I stick with my team.

If you honestly have faith in the longest tenured coach who has never won it all, maybe you should have your head examined.

Let's hope you're right. If CBP and Hammy go, I think it spells doom for our mens program.Irreperable damage unless we get a top tier coach. As long as it isn't Calimari. This wouldn't make football look much better either.

Yeah, his track record shows that he loves to take jobs at schools serving punishment for violations, instead of leaving them.

I guess that AFC Championship doesn't mean a thing? I get your point, but there is a reason he is the longest tenured current coach in the NFL. Off topic, though.

Not really. It was one AFC championship in 15 years.

He is the longest tenured coach because he is in Bud Adam's back pocket. They are bff's.

Even Mike Shanahan was fired. As was Jon Gruden and Brian Billick.

Jeff Fisher still has a job for one reason and one reason only. It's not because he is taking the Titans to the promise land. It's because he is Bud Adam's wingman. He is freaking Goose.

Yea, you may be right; I just don't like the Titans. They're a second-rate franchise and probably always will be.

Let's face it... The Cols are also but they drafted one of, if not the greatest QB ever. Without Peyton Manning, that franchise is worse than the Titans.

Tell me again the great teams coached by Fisher that "should" have won a championship. They've been as good as they've been because of Fisher... or largely due to him.

I lived in Indianapolis pre-Manning. Pathetic to say the least

hell, I really don't care enough about pro football to get emotional about it. just stating facts. just happy he beat the freaking cowboys today with one of the worst qbs in the nfl. so long as he keeps his porn stach, though, I am going to support him. call me simple

I like the Colts because of Peyton Manning and have no apologies for it. I have never felt nor will I ever feel any loyalty to the Titans. You may be right, but they did draft Peyton Manning, and they're lightyears ahead of the Titans as a franchise.

That's an opinion and one I disagree with completely.

His Super Bowl run required the Music City Miracle.

When his team was 13-3 and had the best record in the NFL... lost in the first round.

The guy has always played it conservative and if he were a better coach, he might have taught McNair not to throw short of the end zone with no time left.

We'll just have to agree to disagree because he's had 15 years to coach the same team and still hasn't been able to win.

As a fan of the Houston Oilers, I've seen better coached teams.

First time ive heard anyone feel that strongly about Fisher. You my friend are definately in the minority with that opinion.

They're one injury away from being a 6-10 team. You're right in that they drafted Manning, but one pick doesn't mean you're "light years" ahead.

If the Titans ever get rid of Jeff Fisher, he would have his pick of jobs.

Personally, I like Jeff, but I completely get the arguments most of you make. We definitely aren't a top-tier franchise by any means. 1 AFC Championship doesn't make you top-tier.

It will be quite interesting if Jeff were to be let go.

I guess the meltdown was another Codyg job by the fall off of info. If Bruce doesn't resign tomorrow there will be one very pissed off at Volnation Pooch.
