Calling Meyer a lying piece of trash is the truth. It was the truth long before recruiting at UF ever became an issue. He was called such by legions of people long before his visit to the cesspool in Gainesville.

This is the most plausible explanation for little to no effect on their recruiting class. CUM didn't recruit them.

Gator homerism is the call of this class.

I just wish he'd come out and say EXACTLY what's going on.

But he won't. He's a classing A-type who has to have control of everything, and as long as the college football world is left wondering, we're in his pocket.

Liar or not, he's convincing a lot of kids to buy into that program right now. I guess if they're buying what you're selling, keep selling it to them. I personally don't think Meyer will ever coach another down at Florida, but that's not what he's telling recruits obviously.

And after FSU choked away the national title in 2000 it was never the same despite the fact that FSU had at least 4 Top 5 recruiting classes in the past 10 years and at least 2-3 more that were Top 10. The star ratings may be the most convenient way for those of your who are recruitniks to keep score, but at the end of the day a high recruiting ranking assures nothing.

the truth is that when meyer announced his resignation Bob stoops called foley THAT night to put his name in the mix. Meyer planned on sticking around the program so he wanted foley to promote Strong to hc because he wouldn't mind UM staying around and playing a role in the program.

Once meyer found out that stoops was interested he knew foley couldn't turn him away in favor of Charlie strong. He wasn't about to let the program he spent 5 years building to the top just fall completely out of his control.

I know none of you vols will believe that but you all shall see.

I'm sure that practice was just another step towards therealization that he couldn't just walk away from the program. I'm not sure that makes him a liar.

Is lane a liar for saying urban cheated last year, since the truth was that urban didn't cheat?

you can all sit around and dream that urban will leave, I'd do the same to a rival coach I couldn't beat for the life of me.

The REAL truth is the "rebuilding" excuse will only last another year then you'll have to come up with something else.
