Rumor out of Columbia Muschamp is out [Confirmed]

Mods please change title to confirmed as he was just terminated.

Some schools care about winning.

Sadly we arent one of them anymore.

Tennessee will keep Pruitt around for another year and then decide to fire him and Tn ends up with Bobo or a up and comer from Swiss Chesse University. I lost faith that this University cant do any thing good on the football side.

Who’s make excuses again? Ive said Pruitt is underachieving this year so far

Will Muschamp at USCE: 28-30 (17-22 SEC)

Jeremy Pruitt at UT: 15-16 (9-13 SEC)

Pruitt's on the the same path, to the same outcome.

We all know that Pruitt isn't going to get it done, he's not HC material, and Fulmer has basically ensured that UT will have to suffer through 1.5-2 more seasons of Pruitt in spite of that reality.

Since Swinney owns the state of South Carolina, I think South Carolina tries to make a splash hire so that they can compete with Clemson for instate kids.

I'm honestly trying to figure out how he got hired at SC in the first place.
Idiot for an AD. I'm not confident they can land Freeze. However, the SEC might be against bringing Freeze back to the conference. I saw some stupid by law that they can use to prevent Freeze from being hired as a coach in the SEC. One of the talking heads published it when the Hugh Freeze talk skyrocketed.

South Carolina will always have to do a lot of recruiting out of state, just like Tennessee does and Clemson do. South Carolina will probably do what Tennessee will do next year, or the year after. Hire someone off the bargain rack.

Indeed. Major conferences routinely drop existing institutions for new ones all the time.
I said nothing about a major conference dropping anyone to add Liberty. Do you not think more expansion is coming? I do. Who’s to say that liberty couldn’t find their niche as an independent? BYU seems to be doing ok by going that route. My whole point was, IF I WERE HUGH FREEZE, I would strongly consider staying at Liberty. They’ve shown the commitment to compensate him and it appears they are showing a commitment to winning and taking the next step to being a relevant player in D1. Or he could jump to a middle of the pack school in a big time conference, where fans and boosters are clamoring for his job, if he doesn’t win x amount of games every year.
GBO!!
