How is Muschamp already linked to a job at Tennessee?

The guy was literally just fired.

I doubt he has even given much thought about his future yet.

Because one it's the wrong decision at this point and two we would owe, I believe, $12M or more to Pruitt and assistants. These two factors alone would make it a hard sell to the stakeholders. Don't quote me on the figure owed, could be wrong.

Honestly though, whether you are all in on the pandemic or not, wouldn’t it be the Tennessee way, to fire a coach during a pandemic and then not be able to hire anyone and be stuck with Weinke as interim.

Yea, when people think of college football powers, BYU jumps off the page. He isnt stating at Liberty and no power conference is adding Liberty.

I can't argue with the track record. We have to have someone better lined up or keep what we have until we do. Another bungled search highlighting no one with a proven track record wants to coach here may put me in an early grave.....

JP's stats look very close to Muschamp's stats this year. Give USC credit for making a move to try to improve football.
We have a very similar HC that's going to run us into the ground farther.

About 2 more years and Tennessee will probably do the same with their Muschamp doppelganger. May as well keep him if they're going to make a lateral move though. Replacing google search coach with another google search coach isn't a winning strategy as we've seen.

Lol. SC about to hire a competent coach. We will struggle with Vanderbilt to see who the worst team in the sec is. Because south Carolina has money and we don't? We deserve call these blowout losses we have coming. Just wait till Vanderbilt hires a coach that can make them just a little better. We won't win any sec games.
