Misunderstood. They threw Abbott because he was 9th on the pitcher of the year award watchlist and was a pro prospect himself, and was also Lefty. It’s not like he was average.

He has to be guess hitting...some of his misses are hideous.


But, he can definitely play some shortstop.

Tony teams couldn't hit lefties then either.. idk I guess it isn't as shocking to me with how high he was rated as a prospect being a LHP. LSU just doesn't have anyone comparable. Riley Cooper didn't pitch well against us at all at Alex Box.

Amen on that. If he could check swing, would probably get on base 2-3 times per game.

If we were the Penn Quakers I could see the Tigers maybe holding Skenes for game 2. Maybe....but doubtful.

Winning game 1 is too huge to take anything for granted. We'll see Skenes....count on it.
