I have stayed away a little bit just because the constant harping, attack dog mentality of some of the children on here wears me out. When guys on the football forum would rag on the recruiting board I would jump in and defend it, but even I had to roll out for awhile.

to be hounest, could this just be a recruiting rumor florida is spreading around to turn off florida commits from tennessee? i mean a week or 2 ago they where telling recruits monte was going back to the NFL...

but if he does transfer then good. i mean he isint that great anyway. i hate people like that making us worry if he is leaving or not. i mean he has played more at UT then he would have at florida or any other BCS school. he needs to learn how to feild a punt then maybe i would be more simpathetic to his croc tears or should i say GATOR TEARS

I just wanted to say.. I get what you're saying about guys giving each other **** when ragging on the other's respective team (one of my good friends is a UF fan even), but anyone who uses one of those gayass nick names for a coach (Lame Kiffin, Urban Cryer, Nick Satan) is a moron. Seriously, how childish can you be? That **** is so retarded. Kill yourself if you do it

exactly, i'm all for ribbing your friends if they follow another school, but intentionally mocking your coaches name, in a supposedly serious discussion about rumors where credibility if crucial, is not cool, IMO.

Honestly, I only see people referring to CLK as LAME or Kiffen, etc. on Bammer, FLA, SC boards etc.

That coupled with the fact that it seemed all of the "rumors" were negative towards Tennessee, just makes the "rumors" reek of gator homerism and biasness.

Also, REX, I’m not ragging on you or saying this guy isn’t your friend, I’m just saying my friends, that support other SEC schools, don’t say disrespectful things about my coach, in that manner at least, to my face…. I’m not trying to offend you.

its cool. I just give him as much grief as he gives me. Of course he has 2 national championships in the last 3 years, it hard to top that when your team went 5-7 last year.

Hey gang,

I dont have any sources (maybe a few in SoCal). I dont know Nuke or Teague. When I post it is normally based on opinion. Nuke is one of my favorite recruits from this class. Not only is he explosive but from the videos that I have seen of him clowning at practice, he seems like a good kid. Now on to the opinion part. He has had plenty of opportunities. He was returning punts and did not excel. He was given the opportunity to run a wildcat package (it was not completely unsuccessful) but did not take FULL advantage of the situation. He has been alright as a receiver (made a few key catches) but has not been a barn burner. My point is that he and all of the Freshmen that have played have been given opportunities. Even the Frosh that havent played have I am sure been given opps in practice. He IMO is a good kid that got homesick. I think that is all there is to it. God bless Nuke I am sure you will do well no matter what you decide to do. You can blast me now.

TNTrojans: Alot of people go off to school or maybe military and when adversary hits they to get homesick in the worst way. Could be Nuke is homesick and is a little down about himself. Hope the best for him no matter what.

All the drama is a gimmick from the other schools in the SEC! They're trying whatever they can to slow the LANE-TRAIN down a bit! As long as we perform and keep up the hype we will be fine!

if the rumors are true and he doesn't want to work his tail off to get better then good riddance. we have plenty of talent coming in at wr next year anyways.

Man, some ppl on here are waaay too sensitive. I get edgy when someone talks **** about a recruit but once you step on campus, time to grow up. What you posted was good to know, even if it is blown up rumors. I doubt it's far from the truth. I've heard it too much to not believe it at least partially. Your last comment was hilarious. My friends are the same way, btw, so not sure what other guys on here have experienced but we rib each other constantly and about everything: teams, girls, jobs, etc. Just part of being one of the guys...

OK after looking for awhile I found the promised playing time quote attributed to Nukeese.

"Richardson said Florida's depth chart was the main reason he didn't sign with the Gators. Kiffin promised him immediate playing time, and Meyer didn't.

hahaha - so true. i love that you pulled out one of the far side cartoons to prove a great point! sometimes it's not as much what is said as what is comprehended.

if nuke is disappointed then it all falls on him. he's had as much opportunity as any freshmen this entire season. the difference in him and janzen is that janzen was worthy of staying in the game.

how bout this, everybody: I'M disappointed in NUKE! how does everyone like them apples?!? maybe he'll stick around and prove his hype...

i hope ppl lay off you. you're right. in a weird way, us vol fans are right too. nuke got a lot of opportunities early on and has gradually gotten less. why? b/c good things happen w/ hardesty, g. jones, d. moore, etc, but haven't been happening w/ him so he's gradually gotten less opportunities, as a good offensive coordinator is sure to do.

with all that said, what you said was correct. nuke was promised a lot of opportunities. early. he got those and hasn't performed to the extent to warrant continued opportunities.

thus BOTH sides are right. vol fans, quit hating on rsg87. both sides are right! maybe nuke turns a corner these last 4 games and all of this will mean nothing...

I completely agree with your sentiment, thank you. I actually am rooting for the kid, he came from absolutely nothing so I really hope he makes it in the world. The interview he gave where he said that he had only candy and junk food for dinner and had never tasted chicken really makes you think about all you have.

Whether he actually "promised" it or not, he did give him immediate playing time.

And I won't shoot anybody, I come in to posts unarmed. You should see me tryin' to type! :eek:lol: I crack myself up.
