Nuke did get immediate playing time. He got a shot to return punts the first game and he has been scary every time he has fielded or tried to field a punt. Is Kiffin supposed to keep trotting him out there and risk losing a game?

No one "shot" you... and this quote doesn't say what you attributed to Kiffin. The part concerning a "promise" wasn't a direct quote... it was an interpretation of the next remark. They did need Nuke... and still do if he'll make a contribution equal to his ability.

None the less, as we've been saying, he's gotten his shot. If I remember correctly he was even a WR starter vs WKU. He was overshadowed by Teague who flashed real ability.
