We will have a hire may not be a home run hire. CDD may be retained..... Low chances but I have seen other stupid acts....unless we hire outside the NCAA could be a wait because of bowl games or season...

End of November I will be surprises but if it does occur by then it is a high possibility it will not be a home run unless it is a non working pro coach or staff...

Also, not only will the money will be there, the job is in a much better state than it was last time and it's open at a much better time (as opposed to 2 weeks before signing day) and the roster isn't depleted like it was last time. Not to mention that Hamilton won't be doing the hiring.

I am one of the "old guys" who has been a dyed-in-the-wool fan from the days of Bobby Gordon [few have ever heard of this single win tailback] and the Single Wing....I have NEVER seen such futility in UT football; even before Doug Dickey became coach, the Vols were never so poorly coached..I am sick of watching what we have to accept as Vol football.I hope that we can get a good coach so that I can again enjoy Big Orange football before I "check out"....

No I'm not. I think it's amazing all the names people concoct for coaching searches and thought a running list would be interesting. If you don't like it, ignore the thread. Also, if you don't like my posts, please ignore me rather than stalk me. It's run its course and gotten stale.

Does anyone believe in KARMA...bc its obvious that ever since they fired Coach Phil Fulmer and how they fired him and the humiliation of it all...it all came crashing down and the football team and recruiting, and it has never been the same!! Yes indeed Karma!!!

You and me both! Good God we are now wishing we had Vanderbilt's record of 4 Conference Wins...is this the Low point of UT Football? If the University is satisfied with this performance....I guess we will be here for quite some time

The timing of the hire was difficult at best last time. Most available coaches already had jobs, hired assistants and moved their families around. To quit and take a job like Tennessee would've burned a lot of bridges for some of these proven guys. All of this and Hamilton was likely on the outs anyways. Not the type of rebuilding job any potential head coach wants to step into.
