Butch Jones is not on the list in the OP, but should be.

Everyone is lamenting the fact that we didn't get Brian Kelly 4 years ago. Well, of all the guys out there, Jones is the closest now to what Kelly was then.

Look, between OCI, Skeet, Freak, and a few other mods....I am sure we can take this list and narrow it down to something more comprehensive.

Id like to see a few OC's and DC's added....but I am certain with as much collective knowledge that a reasonable top 15 list could be compiled...

Im surprised ESPN hasnt already released a list?

But please whatever happens please please please no rumors or drama like the last time when we hired Dooley.

Dooley came completely off the radar after there were rumors about Steele plus several other big names.

What losing? Because he is the best loser the VOLS ever had, I say had because I hope he's gone. Now thats the fact !

Everyone would like to know, but anyone who answers this is full of crap and has friends or friends. As fans we will say our wish list, mine includes Ditka, but you'll never hear a real one on a forum. More likely to hear it from a person like Clay Travis before here. Anyone who happens to get it right on here just got lucky.

OP...we don't have that candy a** Hammy running the show. This isn't Hart's first rodeo. We aren't "begging" for a new coach. Not with the money that is being lined up for Dooley's replacement.

I pored over the winningest and highest paid coaches in the nfl and college and the only homerun hire I see after gruden is tomlin. fantasyland? sure. but are there any objections to the guy?

could be a superstar recruiter, has a couple superbowl rings, successful track record. of course I am assuming whoever we hire we are prepared to throw 8 mill down and make a statement. thoughts? if you make him or gruden the highest paid coach at any football level, you can snag at least one of them imo.

I think so too but if you were hart would you throw 8 at him and make him say no before you offer say Patterson 4 mill?

My sources tell me Kentucky assistant coach and former Vols QB Randy Sanders will be named Tennessee head football coach after the UT/UK game regardless of the outcome of the game. They're waiting until after the game to make the announcement.
