I don't know one person that would rather live on a hand out than succeed on their own. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him in a while. The DJT discord exhausted some of us, I'm afraid; perhaps he is one of those.

Rush’s schtick was damaging in the same way all innovators schtick is damaging. Henry Ford damaged the horse trade. The internet damaged the newspaper business model. Etc. Etc. Rush was a pioneer in pointing out the hollowness and groupthink of the corporate press and very damaging to their phony high status. That’s why they (the corporate media) despise him. He is the person most responsible for creating the cancel culture movement ie. entities like Media Matters who went after this advertisers in an attempt to harm his show. This is coming from one who disagreed with much of what he said but recognize that he was a force for uncovering the naked banality of the elite class.

I've always been of the opinion that if a war movie doesn't leave you sickened, then it wasn't a very good or realistic war movie.

My Mom is here visiting and she's recalling Rush-related memories. This had me chuckling.

My older sister came home from college to visit and she asked my Mom if she thought it was a good idea having Rush play all day with the kids at home, implying brainwashing. My Mom just kind of laughed it off. Fast forward a couple days and we're playing a trivia game. My little brother, who was 4 or 5 at the time, was on a team that was asked "Who killed Abraham Lincoln?" and he blurted out "Bill Clinton." To which my Mom responded, "No, it was JWB." and my brother responded, "Oh, yeah. He's Bill Clinton's cousin."
