Hate breeds hate. Limbaugh made his living off sowing division and derision. Only fitting that so many would wish to line up to piss on his grave. Personally, I'm not glad he's dead, but I certainly don't mourn him. Some other derision sowing hate-monger will take his place I'm sure. My Mom is here visiting and she's recalling Rush-related memories. This had me chuckling.

My older sister came home from college to visit and she asked my Mom if she thought it was a good idea having Rush play all day with the kids at home, implying brainwashing. My Mom just kind of laughed it off. Fast forward a couple days and we're playing a trivia game. My little brother, who was 4 or 5 at the time, was on a team that was asked "Who killed Abraham Lincoln?" and he blurted out "Bill Clinton." To which my Mom responded, "No, it was JWB." and my brother responded, "Oh, yeah. He's Bill Clinton's cousin."

Pretty funny. Let me guess... public school?

Rush’s political view was NEVER the issue.

Rush diseased the Republican Party. He fed a massive group of millions to be rude, condescending and antagonistic toward its political opponents. He didn’t challenge people to think, he said listen to me, and I’ll tell you what to think and who to vote for. As a conservative, I have no doubt that much of the socio-political climate and extreme leftism we see today is a reaction to decades of Rush fueling his listeners to be hateful and rude adversaries.
