You've got it here in this thread, too. But it's easy to he disgusted, much harder and better to laugh, move on, and count your blessings- because in the end, you must have them to have the capacity to be disgusted by people wallowing in sewage.
True. Maybe i should change it to sad instead of disgusted. Sad that that many people would have that much vitriol towards a radio show personality. Obviously lived rent free in so many people’s heads for decades.

Back when I was a little more left leaning in college, my dad had one of his books on his bookshelf. I was bored one day and read it. Found myself agreeing a lot with what he said. Been a casual fan since. RIP. Big loss for conservative movement today

Disagree.

It is always a good time and the right place to hear how others really feel. Hiding behind platitudes is easy. Let's hear how hateful and vile our family of posters truly are. Luther had the guts to like his post.
I liked his post because I am in 100% agreement with what he said.

Yep. The left will rear their butt fugly LGBTQiZYZ noncisgendered heads and spew vitriol and hatred and celebrate this death. I for one am looking forward to it as it will foment new opposition to all things democrat.
I hope Mark Stein takes his place

This is why I typically avoid RIP threads for politicians.

I doubt anyone would really like to know how I really feel when they die.
Very few unrelated deaths even move the needle for me honestly. The last upsetting one I can remember was Pat Summit.

Then it's odd you would think it took "guts" to like it.
Being a bastard when someone passes, even someone with which you carry unmitigated disdain, is generally frowned upon in our society. Therefore, the "guts" comment. You acted in a manner almost all find reprehensible even though it is an accurate sentiment.

The "worst sports moment" in the FF made me think of her passing. Walter Payton's announcement and subsequent death was unusually sad for me, too.

I’m the definition of a “Rush Baby” I listened in the back seat of my mom car growing up. My sister and I eveb would make our own parody jingles like Paul Shanklin.
he was a legend that changed Talk Radio forever, he was a philanthropist that was often overlooked. He was the definition of a self made man, he started out working as a no one at a radio station and then built an empire. He shared his highs and lows and was always personable and interesting. He always said his talent was “on loan from God”
Well God called him and his Golden microphone home.
Rest In Peace Rush.

While I agreed with none of the policies he advocated for, I have to admit that he was entertaining. There is no denying the considerable influence he had on making politics a spectator sport in this country. The opinionated prime-time cable news shows not only exist but thrive, largely because of how popular he made the discussion of politics, which used to be thought of as a boring topic relegated to Sunday morning.

Sorry to hear of his passing. RIP.

There is a death bastard continuum wherein you are allowed to be a bastard provided your disdain for the the person who died is at an appropriate position on the other continuum. For further questions related to continuums please consult the manual.
