I really hate to be in this situation... I have to defend both of these people. First, let's look at the actual quotes that were posted in the article.
The problem is -- and dare I say this -- it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice. And then we hear that she's out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per serving, yeah it does -- what do you mean, what do I mean?

What is it - no, I'm trying to say that our First Lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, or of a woman [professional baseball player] Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you. I mean, women are under constant pressure to look lithe, and Michelle My Belle is out there saying if you eat the roots and tree bark and the berries and all this cardboard stuff you will live longer, be healthier and you won't be obese. Okay, fine, show us.

About Michelle Obama: Rush is correct to an extent. He may have taken a swipe at her weight (I'll get to that in a moment), but that is not where he makes his point. The point is that we have these condescending, limosuine liberals that always preach to us about what to eat, what car to drive, where to send your kids to school and blah blah blah. Yet, when it comes to decisions about their personal lives, they do the complete opposite.

About Limbaugh: A guy that has been battling his weight for as long as he has is living in a glass house... even if he is making subtle swipes at her weight. And you know that the liberals are going to run with this. They are going to say that not only is he attacking a woman, but he is attacking a black woman. This was a rant that he didn't need to have.
My disdain for both of these characters is at level 10. Hopefully, I am not placed in this situation again any time soon.

Rush is really best when a democrat is in power, and he cant analyze there many deficiencies and flawed idea.

However in this instance, he is a hypocrite. A man of his size doesnt need to be criticizing anyone else for their weight.

A hypocrite would be telling you to eat healthy while they are not. That's not what Rush is doing here, that's what Michelle Obama's doing. Rush is simply pointing that out.

Rush is a blowhard. I listen from time to time and agree with much of what he says but you have to know that he tries to pick fights. He despises Obama and resents (as many of us do) Michelle's attempts to usurp parental rights and responsibilities.

IMO, you should leave a person's appearance alone generally. I don't think he's in the right here mostly because of the way he did it. It was unnecessary and probably unhelpful to the argument. However, utvolpj is absolutely right. She stuck her nose into this in a bossy "do what I say" way. She invited scrutiny of her health habits and diet.

Have you seen a recent picture? He isn't a small man but he isn't nearly as overweight as he was 15 years ago.
