Russia Blocks Kerch Strait

How many cookies did Nuland send over in order to get the Ukrainians to provoke an armed response by Russian Forces?

Sadly, as before, the only real leverage likely to be exercised by the west here are sanctions.

Trump not only declines to sanction Putin over interference in our elections, he blocked it when Congress tried to. You really think he's going to sanction him over this?

Please.

If it comes up he will say the situation is complicated and give some credence to Russian claims the Ukrainians started it.

Actually, there are Russian sanctions in place, and if enough heat is applied I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump grudgingly go along with new ones.

His is a marriage of convenience to Putin.

Can you please stop hijacking the thread with this stupidity?

Mildly amusing once. Ignorant when you keep at it.

Downright stupid at this point.

Trump will explain in a tweet that he is very concerned. Then he will say that Russia and Putin adamantly deny having fired on Ukrainian ships.

"adamantly"

Lol, Trump doesn't use words with more three syllables.

The U.S. stands for, or at least it used to, the rules that protect the territorial integrity of recognized states.

Except the territorial integrity of Russia..

Looks like an obvious provocation...especially now that Poroshenko has declared martial law...

Please explain how this is any of the United States business?

Because of who is trying to expand his territory. When there is a skirmish between two small states that does not threaten to expand, no, we might tend to stay out of it.

But when a major nuclear power like Russia starts taking over other countries, especially pushing towards Europe, it matters.

Ukrainian Naval Ships Ignored Calls to Stop, Violated Russian State Border - FSB

Just to hear both sides of the story...

Russia has zero to gain by a confrontation with Ukraine. However, with Porky losing support in Ukraine just months before the presidential election...seems that a provocation, then pointing the finger at the big, bad boogeyman is a way of garnering support...

Well, just to be safe maybe that particular territory should be annexed into Russia. Just like Crimea.

You know, just to be safe.

If you took time to read the first sentence of the article you would see that Russian state borders were violated...
