At least the article did a decent job of rebutting the BS quote. I had pretty much buried the hatchet when Kiffin was deservedly fired from USC, but then he had to go work for Bama and benefit from those "magic flags" he talked about when he was here. I wish I could get on board with the belief that Kiffin will run Bama's offense into the ground, but he was a great OC. It's being in charge of a program that he can't handle.

It's seems pretty obvious why we would hate him... he left us in the middle of the night like a little P**&$.

Is Saban's old age turning him into Spurrier? This is not the reason most Vols fan have a dislike for Kiffin. Kiffin leaving like he did basicly kicked the crutch out from an already struggling program. Also the manner in which he left was insulting to the fanbase.

If I had the choice of leaving at night or leaving during the day when the night included an angry mob at my house, I'm leaving under cover of darkness too. I was ashamed to be a Tennessee fan for first few days after Kiffin took the SC job.

So basically Saban hires the coaches that quit on us, and recommends the coaches we fire.

SOME of you people on here are scarily childish and ignorant.

Yes, I am talking to those of you that refuse to spell a name right or give silly nicknames to those you seem more jealous of than hate. Yes, that means you if you type Lame, Satan, Candy, USCjr, gator, etc. When you grow up, hopefully you will learn to focus on the Vols, and what the Vols need to do to get better, and you will quit trying to get better only by making others worse.

These are also the same people that are only capable of reading a headline not the article. If you did, you would that he said "SOME Tennessee people", which is absolutely true, and are those mentioned above. Hate and love come from the same place. You could only have this hate if at one time you had love or wished you had. Otherwise you wouldn't care one way or the other.

Oh, I don't. But thinking Kiffin is A'okay because "he brought the best arm since Peyton" [sic] is one of the more ludicrous things I've read on Volnation in a long, long time.

Forget the fact that Kiffin actually brought in the best arm since, well, Jonathan Crompton. And, oh yeah, sent two better collegiate QBs in the class packing elsewhere.

You can shake your damn head all you damn well want. You made a claim about him not doing anything about QBs. I responded that he did, in fact, do something quite good regarding the QB position. Instead of arguing that, you then turned it to "well what did Bray do?" I said Kiffin brought in an incredible talent. The following coach blew it.

I'm just glad that people are finally willing to admit that Kiffin was better than Dooley. That took people a very, very long time to accept.

I was happy when kiffin was hired and thought his bravado was a nice change. When he started putting SC posters on the walls and wanting us to become like the trogan program is when I said oops.
