Couldn't think of a better place for Saban and kiffen to be then Alabama. . Neither of them should ever have the rite to publicly mention the vols or speak of us to anyone ever again neither know what it means to be a vol and are not qualified to speak on the subject.

I defended his sorry butt while he was here, but the best thing he ever did for UT was leave. :good!:

If he had stayed we would have had even more ncaa trouble. Slive did not like him and would have seen to it.

Let's also not forget, crapping on many of the southern football traditions (The General's Maxim's for one) that made Tennessee one of the most storied programs in college football history and trying to turn us into an east coast version of USC.

Forget the fact he left...honestly if my dream job opened up and I was offered I would have taken it too. But while he was here he should have respected the program and acted in a way that represented it accordingly.

He's gone, nobody misses him, move on. His return to Knoxville (his son's namesake...:post-4-1090547912:) will be interesting in October. I will be curious to see the "creativity" of our fans in the way he is ridiculed and heckled, but I won't give it a second thought. We are in a better place with CBJ. He is rebuilding the right way with quality kids, not kids with sketchy behavior and character issues. In Kiffin's one season it seems like I was constantly "defending" his actions to friends and co-workers, have yet been forced to do that with Jones. That speaks volumes.

I was upset just like most when he left the way he did. Had he stayed though we would of been looking at even more recruiting violations and possibly a death penalty the way the staff was pulling them in.

Per Captain Obvious: kiffen did a good job compared to CDD.

He also did a good job destroying a recruiting class, getting us in trouble with NCAA and leaving the program at the worst time of the year with no inkling of notice.

Settle down everyone, we all know Saban needed some encouragement to help him get over that tough loss to Auburn. After Saban wins the championship again Kiffin will be gone!

The top FOUR articles on ESPN ncaaf right now are about Saban and Alabama. In season they are always in the hunt, and offseason they are always in the news. If that's what an average coach looks like I'd sign up for it

Every hire that Saban makes is with an eye on recruiting especially so with a coordinator...and yes every team in the southeast could always use some help if they plan to recruit southern California. I don't care how good your team is, convincing 18 year olds to abandon the beaches of SoCal for a little college town in the south is never going to be an easy sell.

Nick is just trying to justify the hire and to try and play it off that he did not hire the most overrated prick in the country. A match made in hell.

1. Saban is not going to knock on his OC. 2. The whole body of work by Lame Kiffen was a disaster for UT 3. SEC fans know the impact of a program when any coach just up and leaves like that. 3. His father was an aging DC guru 4. He took his wife with him :) 5. Saban knows as well as anyone, Lane Kiffen is not head coach material, and Oakland had him pegged. 6. Saban said Dooley was doing a great job as well 7. I can't wait for our defense to kick Lame's offense's azz. :hi:
