Saban staying at Bama

I was hopeful he would go but thought he would stay the whole time.

LOL at all the people that bought into the rumors. If there is anything to be learned by all this it's that when it comes to coaching changes, if it's on the internet it's probably NOT true.

No kidding. I have repeatedly stated that Saban would not leave Alabama. But many kept bringing up the Miami and LSU situations. I am kind of glad he is staying. That way when we do beat them the Bama fans can't say we never beat Saban :).

And the title of this thread lists the school's proper name and mascot without making fun of it! What the heck is up with that! NEVER post the proper name of the tuscalooser school for the dumb and dumber on this forum!

Their biggest rival just kicked them in the nuts and took their spot in the NC game, and for that he gets 7 mil a year.

Saban got them rednecks right where he wants them.

As Rick Flair said, "To be The Man, you gotta beat The Man. Woooooooo!"

I am hopeful that Coach Jones is up to the task.

I guess this means their streak will continue against us. Smh

"Not so fast, my friend"

Alabama has an off day every once in a while. 2009, we almost beat them and even held them to 9 points.

2010: They lost to South Carolina 35 - 21, LSU 24 - 21
& Auburn 28 - 27

2011: They lost to LSU 9 - 6

2012: A & M 29 - 24

Once our team is built, we will be able to give them a run for their money and beat them once or twice each five years, just like Auburn is doing.

We won't beat them as long as he's there.

When CBJ has his top notch players in place after 1-3 years of his unbelievable recruiting.

Tennessee will be giving Alabama beatings regularly as we have done in the past.

geez didn't you're mama tell you if you don't have anything good to say about Tennessee don't say anything at all?

These are good years for Alabama, but once Saban leaves, just the loss of his presence as the coach will cost them 3 games per season. What is now 12 - 0, will become 9 - 3.

Also, look at Florida. When "Urban Crier" was the coach, he coached up Zooks players and he won. Once he was winning and winning big, his recruiting slipped some. So, when all of his starters graduated or left for the N.F.L., there was a huge loss of talent.

Why do you think "Urban Crier" faked an illness and acted like he wanted to walk away but at the last moment decided to remain as the coach for one more season? He looked at the roster and realized that he could not win big with the roster, after Tebow, Hernandez, etc. left.

Once he did leave, he left the cuppard bare for Muschamp. Now, Muschamp has to try to win with a roster similiar to ours.

The same thing will happen when Saban leaves. In fact, had he left now to go to Texas, Alabama would have lost at least 5 of the current recruits that are committed to Alabama.

Once Saban eventually retires, you will immediately see a noticeable drop off and in a couple of years from him leaving they will be a 7 or 8 win team. At that point, we can beat them. We will be up and they will be on the down cycle.

Agent Jimmy Sexton has done it again! At $7.5 million per year for seven years, NO buyout will be possible for those Bammers....& when you look at the history of mega-deals it ain't purty: A-Rod, Pujols, & soon-to-be R. Cano. I can't wait for the blow-up in Tuscaloosa. Meanwhile, CBJ is building something in Knoxville. GBO!
