You're absolutely correct that real world issues are more important than this, but when you're playing in the sandbox of a bunch of idiotic media elites like Katie Couric, you need to be able to actually play their game. Just name a few newspapers and she'd have been fine.

Honestly, Sarah Palin probably never stood a chance with the Couric crowd. Despite all the whining I see here about the liberal media... Truth is: most of the insider media aren't partisan at all. They're shallow people who don't care about policies or politics, and only care about their network of friends. In their world, you can be as incompetent as you want, just as long as you're one of them. McCain betrayed that insiderism when he chose Sarah Palin. It was a maverick move, no doubt, one that could've worked if she was halfway competent in dealing with the establishment media.

All she had to do was put in a strong performance in just one of these interviews, and they probably would've backed off. Had she done this, the narrative would be different. Groupthink is everything to these jackals. Now that the herd is laughing about what a dope Palin is, they'll just repeat the script over and over no matter what she does from here on out.

Thread after thread on these issues trying to take comments and answers out of context. It is amusing watching the scrambling and grasping at straws. Tomorrow night is what I'm waiting for and not the "hard" hitting journalism by Katie formerly of the morning show.

I started a thread a long time ago on this subject. Every single person on this board had an easier time answering the questions than Palin.
