Sarkisian taking USC job

Actually, I ran in to Mr. Crow two weeks ago at the grocery store. He and my 4 year old daughter visited about what Santa was going to bring her and then we parted ways and told him we'd see him at church next week. Yeah, we're all good there.

Del Rio must have said no. Surely he was the number one choice. After that, there was a big fall off so Sarkisian isn't that big of a surprise. As for Ogre, it was my opinion that keeping him would have been stupid as hell. Scandal, or rumor of scandal, has followed him pretty much everywhere he has gone. That's the last thing USC wants or needs.

And I still don't buy Franklin as a proven commodity, so any big time program that offers him is rolling the dice.

Good for usc, the remainder of surfer dude's crew will get their pink slips. Tee shoulda took his chance when he had it, he now has the stain of ed the oger on him.

Coach O is apparently upset. Does he try to pry USCe's recruits away (wherever that may be)? Maybe he has attained a modicum of class since sailing west from Knoxville?

Ogre has no class, and fortunately for USC, he has no job. Colleges would be smart to stay away and let him look for an NFL job.

Yeah, what college would want arguably the best recruiter in the country. Not to mention he's one of the best dline coaches of all time.

Somewhat surprised by this. Not a bad hire but by no means a great one either.

:birgits_giggle: at Franklin not getting the job. He wanted it badly from what I was told.

He's one of the best recruiters in college football because he has no problem breaking rules. Eventually, he's gonna fail to cover his tracks in some way and it will cost a program dearly. And I agree he's a good dline coach, which is why a team in the NFL will take him. There, he won't have to worry about recruiting rules.

Any college that hires Ogre is playing Russian roulette. He may help your program. Then again, you may be the unlucky program that pulls the trigger and gets the bullet. Not worth the risk IMO. If the NCAA has a top ten watch list, I guarantee O is in the top 3.
