Saturday is officially a sellout

LOL you are clueless. Who says im unhappy? Or miserable? I'd bet you the hundreds from here that i've invited to my personal tailgates would disagree completely. I simply pointed out something i noticed and thought was shady. Am i negative for this? NO. Am a negative person or a "Debbie Downer" because i don't like or trust ticketmaster? Not at all. You've been here no time, 103 posts, you know nothing about me. So don't @ me.

How ya been doing dude?

From the screen shots shared, a lot of those remaining were in the upper deck. For other events, concerts and such, if you are willing to wait until the last few days, those tickets are sometimes drastically reduced for sale and then get bought really fast because they become affordable to a lot more people. I've seen for other events at Nissan where those tickets are reduced from $100's to the $25- $50 range overnight and boom the sellout happens. I think the thought that this is some kind of TM thing to make money is crazy. More likely it was about trying to move the remaining tickets to folks in the area.

Yes, they are available as resale tickets. A Knoxville sports writer did a summary of how the revenue will be split. Think the first 2 M goes to BYU buyout, next 1.5 M to Virginia, then maybe next M split to Vols, Sports Council. Guess the big thing is to be able to pay for buyout and Va.
From a net net money standpoint how much would we have been paid for the away game at BYU? How about for this neutral site game?

What would you think our out of pocket travel and accommodations expenses would be for both locations?

Like to do a little math on those numbers.

Was not familiar with the whole deal, but in some article I read in the last month, coach indicated there was some scheduling issue with BYU due to conference realignment or similar language. Also implied there was some reason it could not have been a home game?

Love to be better informed.

ANYBODY?

there were tons of lowers as well, not as many on the Tennessee side, but lots of lowers and even club levels on UVa side.

Adam Sparks from Knoxville News did an article on allocation of revenue from this game.

Here's my Ticketmonster story.

I had a friend bail the day of a concert a couple weeks ago so I logged into Ticketmaster's website to try to sell his ticket for $20 or $30 just to get something for it. The concert wasn't a sellout and Ticketmaster's site would not let me list my ticket for less than what the unsold seats were going for on their site. I assume I could have listed it on StubHub, SeatGeek or some other 3rd party resale site but at that point the hassle factor wasn't worth it and I just ate that ticket.

There's available club seats all over the one sideline with huge swaths of available seats in the corners including the lower
level. 1693430171637.png1693430284081.png

OOOH! Power to tha man who has been on longer! Your self appointed accolades do outweigh my limited time compared to yours. I will humbly submit I don't know you like you don't know me. I apologize as you are, from your own words, a benevolent person. Benevolence doesn't normally reside with Dave n Debbie Downers.

Good lord.

Ticketmaster is the official agent to sell Vols football tickets. Until a few months ago Ticketmaster was also official for the Titans, then they switched to SeatGeek, a NFL move. I don't understand the opinion that they own the tickets.

Exactly.. just some people talking out of their ass and they have no clue what they're talking about.

You remind me of my uncle. That you Stan?

Lots of tickets still unsold!!

Can somebody definitively say whether or not these tickets we have seen have been paid for once and are AVAILABLE for resale or not? Those would not be UNSOLD even if they get stiffed and are empty. Folks rejecting paying a big price for FEES is not a lack of interest or desire to be there.

Bottom line have they generated revenue or not?

BS article... yesterday there were thousands of unsold seats in blue, overnight they disappeared. Ticketmaster is shady as hell and theyre crooks. I have the screenshots and pictures of the stadium map with THOUSANDS of unsold seats from yesterday to prove it.
Who gives a ratsass....other than you?
