Ok - The Professor finds that all of you have fallen short. Therefore, I will assign all of you posting grades of between C-'s and F+'s. For those posters too young to be enrolled in school, you get timeout.

What I was trying to do was invite debate. The situation just struck me as one that would have resulted in the Cuonzo laser-beam-gum-chewing-stare-of-death for the player.

For those in this babbling gaggle of troglodytes who struggle with abstract thought, here's the idea: basketball player's are ambassador's of the University. Therefore, perception reflects upon not only the player, but the University at large. Hence, there is a difference between myself and a UT basketball player - I am only a lowly member of the intellectually elite academia. However, the actions of a player can damage his image and the image of the University. Therefore, the player must be more cautious and thoughtful about what he does in public.

Maybe I won't go back to that Walmart - its selection of cravat's was somewhat paltry.

Since when does having a BB gun look bad?

That's the idiocy of your OP.

I bought a little BB pistol to keep a neighborhood dog from taking a daily poop in my yard. Perhaps our player has a similar situation?

There is no debating that this thread is idiotic.

I hope you are not associated with the University, cause your actions definately would paint a bad image.

I find the embolded part much more embarrassing to the University of Tennessee than anything that player could have done with a BB gun. Being a part of the "elite academia" and all.

If I witnessed this scenario I would place a call and email to the head coach. He can ask the players the motives.
