Someone might be able to elaborate more on what was said in chat but basically it was something to the tune of “we won’t wait, won’t contribute next year anyways”. I think 1) the kid looked around 2)he’s kind of a developmental project 3)now he’s dragging his feet and it’s just not worth dealing with. Time to focus on portal.

The one commit who chose to not sign is Onis Konanbanny. We will see how hard Tennessee works to keep him in the class and if they get him back to campus in January.

Tbh, I still hope that we get this guy even with the drama. I think he's going to be a lock down corner, especially in the endzone on those fades to tall wideouts.

The big problem with waiting is you give programs a chance to shop in the portal for several weeks. If a program stumbles across a player that is more ready to play, especially those with multiple years of eligibility, i think they'll go that route. It will be interesting to see how the Vols approach and fill that spot.
