'24 SC QB Jadyn Davis

Yeah....we need to recruit developmental guys at QB every other year.
Space the elite ones out by 2 years if possible.

Can't blame Jadyn, really. He's also another ready to play QB. Like Nico.
Except Nico will have a year on him
I agree. '24 is when we can take a chance on a freak athlete type of guy that needs development as a passer. Then go elite again in '25. Hopefully Madden is that guy.

And I know this sounds like sour grapes, but I don't see the arm talent with this kid. Not much velocity on his ball.
His arm is strong enough. He's just not a big guy. He's a Bryce Young body type, but I don't know if he has the ability to escape pressure like that. He is as polished as they come for a high school prospect, and has star potential in the right system. Michigan may be a good fit since Harbaugh hasn't shown the propensity to develop QB's. A kid needs to be close to being a finished product already.

I just don't know if "strong enough" is good enough in this offense. Those wide splits and WR screens require someone who can get the ball a long distance with velocity. It's one reason I think Milton can be great in this offense if he puts it all together. I want to see Tennessee QBs with strong to very strong arms, not just passable.

I have watched every game from Heupel's time at UCF with McKenzie Milton and Dillon Gabriel. Trust me.... this kid's arm is strong enough. The most important parts of being a QB in this offense are processing what you see quickly and passing accuracy. If you can throw it 40 yards, that's good enough. Someone like Joe Milton or Nico allows you to potentially take it to another level.

If only there were some method that could allow him to find his way to Knoxville after 2 years in Ann Arbor.
Why would he do that?

Michigan is back to their top 10 ways, and he'd already be strter by then...

2 years ago Harbaughs buyout was the only thing that kept him from getting fired. He runs an antiquated offense and is one bad DC hide away from being back on the hot seat. I didn’t say it would happen, just pointing out that Davis isn’t required to stay there if he desires to seek other options.

Didn’t know if everybody had seen this video.

Yes, and all the comments of people defending the assault because he obviously did something to deserve it, should not have went in without the rest of his team, MI should not have both teams in same tunnel, etc. Nobody said the MI ST players were scared though.

The buzz: Jadyn Davis was back at Michigan over the weekend and the buzz around the Wolverines is at an all-time high. Late in July, when Davis was in Ann Arbor for the Bar-B-Que, they did all they could to show Davis he was their guy for 2024. It made a big impression. He was back over the weekend and Michigan rolled out the red carpet for the Davis family. A month or so ago, it looked to be Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Penn State were schools to watch closely for Davis. North Carolina, the in-state school, has always been under consideration as well. A decision is likely to come in the next six or so weeks, I am told by a source. Michigan has created a gap between them and the others. Georgia has taken a quarterback. LSU has faded. He did visit Tennessee recently, but the Vols are not viewed as a true contender. Clemson is hanging around, but they are also involved with Lagway. Penn State would love to get Davis back on campus. Right now, all signs point toward Michigan being tough to beat.
