Jaws scared the begeebers out of a lot of folks. My mom worked with a lady that was scared to get in the tub for a week.

Arachnophobia made me watch with my feet off the floor the first 10 times I watched it.

Hostel...my wife will never return to Europe. Haha

I understand fear can be irrational sometimes..... but come on......

I think the thing with shark/bear/croc/etc type movies is while they're "monster" movies of a sort the subject matter is 100% real.

Babadook is really good.

Ju-On is very creepy. The American remake sucks, though.

I don't understand all the love for Babadook. To me, it wasn't remotely scary. Just weird depressing, and dreadful. Maybe I would have liked it more if hadn't been hyped so much beforehand.

It's more of an art/metaphorical film with horror movie qualities.

I agree. And if it had been described like that before I saw it, my expectations would have been different and I might have enjoyed it more. Not a bad movie, but not anything close to a traditional horror movie.

ohhh almost forgot, Sixth Sense freaked me out as a kid as well. I was probably a bit 2 young when I first saw it. So many scenes still give me the chills just because I have the memories of being horrified as a kid haha

The original Alien was the first thing that came to mind. More suspense than horror really but suspense is more frightening. The Shining was a great suspense movie too.

Saw Alien at the theater (WestTown) during the day and was still feeling it going out the car. Had to gingerly open the glovebox to make sure that little booger wasn't hiding in there.

Don't watch many scary movies, but for some reason I decided to go see one by myself once in an empty theater. Event Horizon. Scared the crap out of me at the time.

Not exactly horror, but Fallen also creeped me out a bit. Great movie though.

I remember watching The Omen as a kid and for whatever reason, the scene where Damien's father finds the "666" birthmark on his head terrified me. I remember, not fully understanding the meaning behind it at the time, I ran to the bath room and started looking through my hair to see if I had 666 on my head! LOL!

Henry portrait of a serial killer.

Saw it as a youth and it upset me alot.

Jaws.

Saw it about age seven and it still causes me jitters in the ocean.

Candyman.Scene with the little boy.

Tony Todd's voice alone is enough to give a little kid nightmares
