I don't know that anybody knows who his leader is since he didn't sign with MSU. I do think UT is in the thick of things.

I think we should offer Edmonson. Signing high school teammates is always a positive thing, especially in an up-tempo style of play where learning each other's tendencies is extremely vital. Also I'm not so sure it'd be a great idea to hold all of our schoolies until 2009. Losing 3 seniors including both our top scorers should be quite an insentive to sign a couple more players.

So - was on the Mississippi state scout board - not for recruiting but looking at what they were thinking about our game tomorrow - and there was a link to some blogger who had just interviewed Hopson briefly and quoted him saying that MSU was still on top for him....

Surely he's just leading them on... because everything we've seen has us as the team to beat or atleast one of the top 2 teams... and Miss. State generally wasn't considered one of the top 2 or 3 for him.

The assumption has been that because he did not sign with them when he was supposed to, he will not sign with them at all. I don't know if that is a good assumption or not.

Really, there just isn't a lot of information being provided right now. You have to think that, because he didn't sign, he is seriously considering other options, and from all indications, Tennessee is one of them.

UHA did beat Bishop Brossart 46-35 in a sleeper last night in the class A. They play Paintsville, who many had picked as the 2nd favorite, today in the semis at 3:00 eastern.

Yeah he can... but I don't know if Pearl takes him unless he feels that's the only way to get Hopson or if he somehow gets him to walkon and prove he's worth the scholarship.

I hadn't thought about inviting Edmondson to walk on. He might do that over going to a smaller school. But, that would involve out-of-state tuition, which is too expensive for a lot of people.
