SCOTUS fails to stop TX abortion law.

That would be a preferential way to go.

A majority of abortions take place on women who already have children, with 32% of all abortions being on women with two or more children. Assistance with food, healthcare, and childcare in these situations may significantly decrease the perceived need for abortions in those populations.

What if we gave women married to men some kind extra of benefit???

Can we draw the line at 10 weeks then? Since 10 weeks is when genetic info can be determined also?

10 is the min for the testing I've dealt with. It's invasive and not common without being aware of preexisting genetic issues . Other kinds of tests have to be done weeks later. This is the problem in trying to deal in absolutes with situations like this

This is what St. Gregory of Nazianzus (the Theologian) had to say on the question in the 4th century:

"The question which you have put seems to me to do honour to chastity, and to demand a kind reply. Chastity, in respect of which I see that the majority of men are ill-disposed, and that their laws are unequal and irregular. For what was the reason why they restrained the woman, but indulged the man, and that a woman who practises evil against her husband's bed is an adulteress, and the penalties of the law for this are very severe; but if the husband commits fornication against his wife, he has no account to give? I do not accept this legislation; I do not approve this custom. They who made the Law were men, and therefore their legislation is hard on women, since they have placed children also under the authority of their fathers, while leaving the weaker sex uncared for. God does not so; but says Honour your father and your mother, which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with you; and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death. Similarly He gave honour to good and punishment to evil. And, The blessing of a father strengthens the houses of children, but the curse of a mother uproots the foundations. See the equality of the legislation. There is one Maker of man and woman; one debt is owed by children to both their parents."

CHURCH FATHERS: Oration 37 (Gregory Nazianzen)

Sounds like a lot of OT quotes. He was well read.

Co-founder of video game firm Tripwire is ousted after tweeting that he is 'proud' of new Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks

The co-founder of video game firm Tripwire has stepped down from his role as CEO and has been replaced after tweeting that he's 'proud' of the new Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks.

John Gibson has since been replaced 'effective immediately' by current vice president Alan Wilson, who will take over as interim CEO.

'Proud of #USSupremeCourt affirming the Texas law banning abortion for babies with a heartbeat,' Gibson tweeted on Saturday.

'As an entertainer I don't get political often. Yet with so many vocal peers on the other side of this issue, I felt it was important to go on the record as a pro-life game developer.'

That is a whopper of a political pledge. Right up there with Trump's "We will eliminate the debt in 8 years."

So, there won't be any more rapes committed in Texas, eh? Hell, why not cure cancer while you're at it?
The quote isn't as absolute as some of you are making it. Upon review of the entirety of the quote, the reaction is stupid.

"And Texas will work tirelessly to make sure that we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets."

Should he not work to eliminate it? Should we not work toward eliminating cancer? Should he just let bygones be bygones?

It was dumb to say. A Governor should at least be smart enough politically to not make that comment. If he's smart all he talks about is the sanctity of life. It's the only winning argument he's got, and the only one, many people think he needs.
