SCOTUS fails to stop TX abortion law.

Bette Midler must be attending the Joy Behar elementary school of staying irrelevant.

SIAP ... Bette Midler says women should ‘refuse to have sex with men’ to protest Texas abortion law

I don't think those women, standing on the steps holding signs in protests, will have anything to worry about getting laid anytime soon.

I'm amazed how "celebrities"... even ones like Bette Midler that's low-level & outdated ... loves to dish out advice on social issues .... but it's her right as long as twitter agrees with it.

A question for you, AshG:

Would you support robust restrictions on the circumstances under which abortions are permitted, if those restrictions were accompanied by robust aid to parents? Perhaps a new coalition could be built up around these two goals, were they united as a single policy and not divided between the priorities of two hostile voting blocs.

That would be a preferential way to go.

A majority of abortions take place on women who already have children, with 32% of all abortions being on women with two or more children. Assistance with food, healthcare, and childcare in these situations may significantly decrease the perceived need for abortions in those populations.

Ole Ted is not the brightest bulb on the tree. Apparently he has no idea that a lot of his residents have already boycotted Portland and moved to Texas

So here we go again. Right to choose on abortion but I bet they don’t feel the same about a vaccine.

Planned Parenthood Targeted Pro-Life Democrat with Racial Slur, Now His Bill is Headed to Governor's Desk

A Texas law signed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) recently went into effect which restricts abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which is at around six weeks. Now, a bill restricting chemical abortion, also known as medication abortion, to seven rather than 10 weeks is headed to the governor's desk. The bill, SB 4, was sponsored by state Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr., who is a pro-life Democrat.

Throughout the 2020 primary and runoff primary, Planned Parenthood Texas Votes referred to Lucio as "Sucio Lucio" when calling for a primary opponent to oust him. The term "sucio" is considered to be a slur and derogatory against Mexicans.

While the abortion group was criticized for using such a term, social media posts with such language remain.

I'm ok with Planned Parenthood running a counter campaign (isn't that what elections are for?) but I'm tired of seeing this BS in any campaign.

If your ideas can't compete on their own merits without needing to stoop to smears, insults, and epithets, is what you're selling even worth buying?

I personally don’t give a damn what Texas or any other state does.
You should. Bc the way they have designed this can be used to come after guns. It's a horrific law even if you are pro life.

If this stands you better believe guns will be attacked the same way.
