Scout's Updated 2013 Class Rankings

Hell i'll do it for you...

UNC best 3 year span was 05-07. They had 7 guys drafted, 5 in round 1, 2 in round 2. ZERO #1's, 2 top 5's.

In Cals 3 years...they've had 15 guys drafted, 11 in round 1, 4 in round 2. 2 #1's, 5 top 5's.

So at UNC's best, they didn't even compare with putting guys into the league like Calipari has done. It really is simple, if you want to go pro, and are looking for somewhere to spend one year that's as close to a sure fire thing of getting you drafted as you can find...Kentucky is that place.

oh please......he is not putting anyone in the pros......he is recruiting guys that are going to be in the pros.........they would be in the NBA if I was their coach.......just like kanter who u still do not mention in your reply..

People are agreeing that he isn't cheating??? This is the first rival board that actually believes this.

Hell even I have my worries on some of Cal's past recruits at UK. Bledsoe being my main concern.[/Q

how do you know do you go on every rivals board .i know that everyone on espn that is not a ky fan thinks cal is cheating.i do not care if he is he will get caught and if he is not cheating he will not get caught.

Cal's insane recruiting came before he was known as the guy who gets players to the NBA. He didn't have that selling point to his 2009 class.

And go look back at what I've been saying...I fully believe he used to cheat, I however no longer think he needs to...that's what I've been saying this whole time.

You tried to compare UNC putting guys into the league with Cals past 3 years...there's no comparison which was simply my point.

And what about Kanter? The fact that he was a European player who was going to be picked top 5 if he entered the draft, but decided he wanted to experience college? He didn't play, and he went pro, there no debating that, I'm not sure what you want me to say.

You can say all you want that he only recruits guys that are going to be in the pros regardless, but I think it's BS you give him no credit. Is josh Harrelson in the NBA without cal, how about Darius miller, or liggins?

Then building off that, as I keep mentioning, Cal has avoided the bust factor. Since Cal has been at Kentucky, he has recruited 11 guys out of high school to Kentucky, who ended at Kentucky. Out of those 11, all 11 have gone on to play in the NBA. 4 of those players were outside the top 20 of their respective class ranks (not exactly NBA guarantees), yet all 4 he has placed in the NBA.

I challenge you to find me another coach with that kind of success.

Non problem, post and come around more often.

The basketball forum/team needs more supporters, they're on their way to great things under CCM.

There's a lot less to talk about when it comes to bball; less drama; less players on the team; less coaches.

What? Derrick Rose, Shawne Williams, Rodney Carney, Dajuan Wagner.

Anyone else worthwhile besides Rose and Evans?

He has like two of those in every recruiting class now and the rest find themselves in the NBA as well. Cal's recruiting at Kentucky and sending players pro is on another level than when he was at Memphis.
