Seantrel Henderson/USC/Violations

Yeah telling a player that God sent him a vision of him coaching the player from the sidelines and then saying that if it causes him to die then at least he'll die watching him play is REALLY doing things the right way!!!! :eek:lol:
that's a rumor that was started on a Buckeye message board after they lost out on Sharrif Floyd. it's since been refuted by both Floyd and his coach.

before you break out the tired "recruiting Tebow as a linebacker" story from Meat Market, after Jevean Snead got over being butt hurt he was asked about that comment in a 2008 interview and stated he doesn't remember Urban Meyer or anyone from the Florida staff ever saying that to him.

USC is the premier team in the PAC 10 and the darling of the LA media market which is #2 nationally. They will give up scholly's but no bowls or tv. Do you really think that the NCAA will not make a deal with USC (if it even comes to that) to ensure they are a viable program? They did hammer Bama but this is a kinder, gentler, more money driven NCAA we are talking about. Not having USC vs ND on TV would not set well with NBC.

True on the first part of your statement.

And complete Gator homer BS on the second part. Snead still maintains that Meyer said that to this day.

Sorry. Snead did an interview during the 2008 season before the Ole Miss-Florida game and when asked about that story that'd been making the rounds Snead said he didn't remember Meyer ever telling him that.

But just like opposing fans are so quick to believe outrageous stories like Meyer's "Dream" about Sharrif Floyd that's been circulating for a month now, people latched on to the ridiculous notion that Meyer actually told a committed player that they were recruiting another 5 star QB, who'd attended the same QB camp as Snead, as a linebacker.

News Flash : No one really cares. You're on a rival board, people are going to bash your egotistical, holier than thou coach. You're not going to win the argument. If you want to talk about how great your coach is while fondling yourself. go to a gator board.

As much as we dislike Urban on this board, I think we got to admit he does things the right way as compared to X and O at USC.

I'm wary of this entire scenario. Sure, the violations coming out of SC wouldn't surprise me, that's right up X's sleeve of tricks, but the texts supposedly coming from UF and OSU seem a little far fetched. First of all, who was able to "retrieve" these texts and how did they do it? Second of all, I find it interesting how every school involved is playing dirty and loose with the rules somewhat, except UF who's being so classy throughout the process? Given all of this, is it not intriguing that this synopsis originated on a Gator message board with "facts" sprinkled in from the NY Times, most likely from Pete Thamel or Thayer Evans? The NYT seems to be way to involved in college football over the last 2 months and even more so with the University of Florida.

I know the USC is a big time college but its not the all to be all in college football...why would you chance the next four or five years to just be a Trojan if you have a good chance to never see a bowl game...not just the Vols but you have other great choices...when i heard about all the recruits that went to USC made me wonder what they are putting in their heads out there

My point was that USC is no where near the top dog in revenue to ignore their scandels. Sorry to say but I'm sure Bama was a top 3 and they laid down the hammer.

if you have learned anything in the last 15 years, it is that the ncaa don't function the same way as it used to. usc will get alittle slap on the wrist, but if it was us we would have sanctions brought against us. remember where usc is, LA there boosters and fans bring in tons of money.

After Hendersons' father gets through hosing him, this kid can expect to have the exact same college & following NFL career that Juicy Locke produced for his son Eric.

Ever been to Venice Beach on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon? THAT's what they put in kids heads out there along with taking them to dinner along the Sunset Strip and taking them to several movie sets in progress. USC has a film school out of this world. That stuff turns adults heads in many cases, never mind an 18 year old, not to mention a Knoxville 10 is an LA 7. Hard to recruit against that.

I don't see them getting anywhere close to the death penalty. The AA likes making you vacate wins now, no way they take away TV time or post season appearances. In a way, it at least punishes the "guilty" party and not a new coach. We are blinded in this case since the new coach happens to be a d-bag former UT coach

urban meyer did not text that. no one is patient enough to type correctly word for word and then end with the abbreviations "w u," nor do they have 10000 characters to waste on their phone.

Whilst (and at the same time!!) having Seantrel's Dad freestyle rapping at him for all eternity.... Just to make it even worse....
Witch Doctor think fitting punishment would be having to give Al Davis sponge baths for eternity..but that not be fair to Al if you think about it.....lol.

Too bad there aren't any hot girls involved or this would be all over ESPN (whether it's true or not).

Maybe that's why he's crazy. Too much delicate and time consuming texting:eek:k:

But...but... but... VKAman says that CLK is the best recruiter ever. How could it be that he had to cheat to get Henderson? VKAman said it was simply because he was so much better at recruiting than Dooley...

LOL... and now we know "the rest of the story".
