Best, who served in the department for 28 years, ended her email that she looks forward to “seeing how this department moves forward through the process of re-envisioning public safety. I relish the work that will be done by all of you.”Liberal cannibalism at its finest. Be careful what you wish for.
Carmen Best, Seattle’s top cop, emails resignation notice to officers: report
Not to mention SROs. Maybe they’ll arm the teachers or, better yet, hire a bunch of twenty-something social workers fresh out of college to deal with active shooters should the need ever arise. They want cuts in Swat , Mounted , Homeland Security .. and Harbor patrols ? Oh boy I can’t wait to see what comes out of that one . Do they understand what homeland security and Harbor patrols do ? Holy crap , the amount of stupid that’s going on there is impressive .

I'm really having a hard time connecting the dots here. OK, so a black guy gets killed by a white officer in another state over a thousand miles away...and the response is to cut back on homeland security and school resource officers? I'm not gettin' this.
As for the police chief, I'm disappointed she weasel mouthed her resignation letter. I wish she'd spelled it out with something like this:
"I'm leaving because I can't work for an outfit that defunds their police. I am the police. If you defund me, how can you expect me to stay and work under those conditions?"
You're starting to understand. This is about ushering marxism. Local police, hired locally are still the best option vs a federal gov police. You think these blm groups care about floyd. This is about changing a culture and society.
They just look for an excuse to agitate, you continue to agitate until changes are made in your favor.
Under that sort of thinking they ought to beef up the local police, not defund it. I'm trying to think like a Marxist and I'm still not getting it.
This appears reactionary to me. No thought behind it. Just a bone to appease the far left..."you want us to defund the police? OK, here you go"
