SEC Network- How Long You Gonna Wait?

Spoke to a representative at time warner, she had no idea what the sec network was.

I wouldn't worry to much about Time Warner rep not knowing what the SEC Network is. I called AT&T Uverse to check that I had the correct tier to be able to get it and that rep didn't know anything about it.
Not saying Time Warner will have it but the reps across a lot of the cable and satellite services don't know much if anything about it.

I do know if you call AT&T and haggle you can get the U450 and 18 mb download for 119 a month for a year. That's what the retention department gave me to keep service. Not that I really have a choice considering it's the only high speed internet I can get since I live in the boonies.

I've been w DISH Network for 5-6 years now and am very pleased w their programming and customer service thus far. Recently called them and said I would prefer to pay less and they literally said, "what amount would you be happy paying?" I said a reasonable amount, and they agreed to it. In all removed $35/mo from my bill. I thought that was very fair of them and showed loyalty to their loyal customers.

Oh, and DISH will carry SEC network, and has incredible onDemand programming, HD clarity, and espnU in HD, and so on, and so on, etc, etc. Not to mention, they are an official sponsor of the Vols. need I say more?

Anyway, just my opinion. TIFWIW

They must have recently picked up espnu in hd cause I had dish for 2 years got rid of it about 4 or 5 months ago and espnu wasn't in hd when I had it.

I'm waiting until the end of July to switch. I currently have Cox cable, the rep has no idea if they are negotiating to get the SEC network. However, I assume they will get it. I get the Pac12 and Big10 networks along with ESPNU.

ESPN owns the network. ESPN listed the price. Cable companies have pretty much agreed to pay the price. They're still haggling over details.

Not sure why they are haggling - it doesnt bother them to raise the price/fees of anything else

Went ahead and made the switch from Comcast to Dish on Saturday. Comcast has been taking their sweet time with the SEC Network and I'm not happy with them at the moment anyways.

So far Dish has far exceeded expectations. The picture quality is phenomenal, much better than Comcast. I've been using Dish Anywhere to stream World Cup games straight to my phone when I can't watch them, and the resolution is great and much closer to real-time than WatchESPN was. The Hopper is going to come in very handy for football season, I can't wait to use the Picture-in-picture.

The only downside is the OnDemand leaves a bit to be desired. Comcast's OnDemand service is superb. But it's well worth it considering I'm adding 2 more HD DVR's than I had with Comcast, for sure getting SEC Network, and paying half (literally.... half) what I was with Comcast.

AT&T has already reached a deal to carry the sec network so if they go through with buying directv then subscribers will get the sec network for a price of course but it'll be worth it. GBO!!!!

the deal is not expected to be final for another year

I've talked to cox via Facebook. They tell me they are in negotiations to get the channel at a fair price for their customers. Guess we will have to wait and see. I'm currently with direct tv but will be switching if something isn't done soon.
