Seniors may not even try against Vandy

There are people in the media that believe Bray will shut it down against Vandy so he doesn't have to go to a low end bowl. The people who say this state he just wants his career here to end, along with a few others, and losing to Vandy seals him not having to see Dooley past the Kentucky game.

To a certain degree, I can't blame him if true.

What say you guys?

Will Bray and team come out with a careless attitude against Vandy?

If this is true then our problems are much deeper than we can fathom. PSU players don't seem to be holding anything back and their school will forever be associated with child rape.

I think they'll try, but I don't think many players, other than the four-year srs, will be heartbroken to miss a bottom-tier bowl. It's been the worst of three awful years. Bray's time here has been no fun-- coaching changes, loss after loss, humiliation, frustration, being called out by fans and publicly chastised by his HC, who he doesn't seem to respect much. I'm sure Bray's ready to move on, which is unfortunate all around, because in better circumstances, he could have been a Heisman candidate.

Bet Hunter wouldn't mind skipping a low-tier bowl, as well, since it's one less chance for him to get hurt. It's just been a crappy year for everyone, and lots of people-- fans and players alike-- won't be sad to see it end. That's what's sad-- the fact that a year and a team that started out so promising turned into such a trainwreck.

Ya that would be smart....so NfL scouts see that in the face of True adversity, you simply quit! Then you forfeit a potential career doing what your dream job was growing up...so....uhhh...I'm saying they play their tails off

Bray said as much after the UK game last year. He said the team quit. Would I expect anything different this year with the Music City Bowl on the line? Not really. Pride may have them fight to beat Vandy. I think the UK game will be just a comedy on the field. Our guys trying to avoid a scrub bowl and UK having folded weeks ago. Vandy beat them 40-0. Has there ever been a game where both teams were trying to throw it?

That would be a pretty poor way to try to sell his services to an NFL GM. "Hey, if I think your coach stinks, I won't try. Pick me!" It's so completely dumb that nobody actually trying to get into the NFL would consider this for very long.

i don't know if this will be the case, but i think people are a little misguided to completely dismiss it.

i mean damn, tyler bray was quoted as saying something to this effect after the kentucky game last year.

This.

Bray, Hunter, Patterson, Thomas, Rivera, and maybe James are playing for NFL contracts.

Bray especially has too many red flag character concerns that will come up during interviews at the combine to mail it in this time around.

Because it will make them nothing but quitters.....a true competitor comes out to compete regardless....if this is how they handle the situation then IMO it will show that they are just as much of the problem if not more than Dooley.

I hope they don't but I could see them just not going all out and seeing where the cards fall.

I think these guys are a little shell shocked and beat down mentally.

So, Neocon, you actually heard a radio personality say they in fact believe the players will shut down? That's what they said? They believe the players will shut down and lose the game?

So, name these personalities. That's idiocy personified, so call 'em out.

I heard it too. It was 3 HL in Nashville. They were clowning around. Clay wants to hurl as much garbage onto Derek as he can. Shameless. I turned them off.
