Seniors may not even try against Vandy

I hate the believe that players would lose on purpose because they don't want to play in a "low-end" bowl. Plus a player like Bray, who is really lacking any meaningful wins, would need to show NFL scouts that he is a competitor. Does he think teams in the NFL want a QB that just gives up because he can't get to a bowl or might go to a "low-end" bowl? This sounds like BS to me.

Missed the KY game last year?

There are people in the media that believe Bray will shut it down against Vandy so he doesn't have to go to a low end bowl. The people who say this state he just wants his career here to end, along with a few others, and losing to Vandy seals him not having to see Dooley past the Kentucky game.

To a certain degree, I can't blame him if true.

What say you guys?

Will Bray and team come out with a careless attitude against Vandy?

The players on defense have had the "DO NOT CARE" attitude all season...why change now?

I heard Clay Travis mention it. He said Bray might not want to go to a bowl and just get ready for a combine. A BS statement by a BS person.

So he didn't say he believed Bray and Co. would shut it down....CT said they might not want to go to a bowl and just...

That's a little different than what you stated in the OP.

If true, I would hate to be the company employing them down the road of life. Quitting when the going gets rough is not a job skill many are looking for in the business world.

Clay's an idiot. That isn't news. I'm trying to figure out if OP agrees and feels the best thing to do is perpetuate this thought on a board full of UT "fans".

My opinion?

I think Bray is wore out.

I think the 38 second run off at the end of the game burned him out for good. I think he may come back if a new coach is brought in who he believes will help him grow and get a higher draft pick but unless something changes I think he's mentally out.

Bray is human. You can destroy a kid mentally by ripping the rug out from under him enough. The GA loss and the SC loss were alot his fault and the last game was barely his fault. He could be fried.

I'm not thekids shrink nor do I pretend to know his thoughts. I am not going to speculate on whether he will or will shut it down....but I will speculate that his game psyche has to be exhausted.

Clay (and I agree) said Dooley is a virus that has spread throught the team and no one knows how to win now. This I do agree with.

Thanks for your answer.

This is silly talk. Bray could throw 10 TD passes and we could still lose. He doesn't have to throw the game, not with this D.

Lets not forget that players get money for "travel money" to bowl games. Most use it for Christmas gifts. I'd say they would rather have the money than not.

How much of my post do you agree with?

Not directed at me, but:

I disagree with the parts you put the game 'a lot' Bray's fault. Yes he ended the chances at the end of the game to come back.

But we put up 40+ points on Georgia and can't win? Come on. That's primarily on the defense.

I agree though, he's tired of a coach leaving him out to dry and throwing players under the bus.

He has some attitude problems and a coach like Dooley is the wrong thing for him.

My lost post that answer your question about MY opinion.

Ah. OK. Keep in mind my answer is based on the assumption that Bray is looking to be draftable at the end of this year. If he isn't, then what I have to say isn't going to matter in the least.

My opinions are in bold.

I think Bray is wore out. Wore out? If this is all he has it doesn't matter what he does cause he isn't ready for the NFL.

I think the 38 second run off at the end of the game burned him out for good. I think he may come back if a new coach is brought in who he believes will help him grow and get a higher draft pick but unless something changes I think he's mentally out. Burned him out for good? If that's the case, he wasn't made of the right stock imo to begin with. And that's not a slam on him, if we were all made of the right stuff the world would be a better place. It isn't.

Bray is human. You can destroy a kid mentally by ripping the rug out from under him enough. The GA loss and the SC loss were alot his fault and the last game was barely his fault. He could be fried.Bray threw bottles in the vicinity of a parked car this summer. That is immaturity on a scale that doesn't belong in the starting QB of a D1 school. My kids knew this wasn't right when they were in middle school.

I'm not thekids shrink nor do I pretend to know his thoughts. I am not going to speculate on whether he will or will shut it down....but I will speculate that his game psyche has to be exhausted.I'm tired of hearing about his fragile psyche. That's bullcrap. If he's psyched out so easily he doesn't need to have the benefit of a full ride.

Clay (and I agree) said Dooley is a virus that has spread throught the team and no one knows how to win now. This I do agree with.Uh, no. The coach not knowing how to call plays to win doesn't equal players who are good not being able to throw, catch, or tackle adequately.

Here ya go.

I agree 100%. Very good post emzeee. Dooley and Bray are a bad mix because Dooley doesn't have the guts or will to do what's necessary to make Bray a better player. That said, he hasn't played bad at all, quite the opposite.

I'll be watching the game with a careless attitude.

Bray isn't a senior.

Nothing would surprise me. The losing culture was here when DD got here and he didn't fix it. This Sr class will be the third Sr class in a row that lost a lot of games and had no Sr leadership that showed them how to win when they were underclassmen, so they don't know how to show the next group.
Hopefully the next coach can make it happen.
