Serious QB discussion

They are riding with Joe until he is unable to play. Just make sure the running game is on point so when he has **** games he can get some help.
Oh and thank you to the defense. They won the game today.

We're 5-1. You can argue Milton hasn't put the team on his back and won ballgames but he's not costing us ballgames.

Every week we hear the same thing: When do we see Nico?

And without seeing Nico we've won, other than FL. How do you pull a QB who isn't making you lose? The answer is: you don't.

You won't see Nico in anything but mop up until Joe Milton starts causing us to lose.

He also doesn’t give us a chance to beat good teams. You’re about to see that over the next few weeks.

We have a long weekend next Saturday if this is the same joe that travels to bama.

I just don't want it to carry over to UK.

If we lose to Bama( odds are against us) but still beat UK the following week, I can live with that

We need a whole run package for Milton next week! Throw a triple option on Bama next week! lol

I actually really like this idea. The passing threat was dead in the second half so why even pretend anymore. Let’s just start road paving.

As bad as Joe has played, why haven’t we seen Nico? In this game Joe is so bad that Heupel and company could not trust him to pass. You will no see Nico Except if Joe goes down. Even then it may be Gaston Moore.

Why? Seriously, WHY?
Saving a year of eligibility? Kids don’t even stay their full eligibility. Or they transfer. What is he waiting for? Is Nico hurt? Is Nico a bust? Inquiring minds want to know!

We are not going to throw a freshman out there with this experienced team while we still control our destiny in the East.

Milton just needs a Randy moss like receiver. If he had that I bet he would be insane. Throw it up deep. Our receivers this year are not as good.

As a coach your number one priority is winning the game you are in. If your QB is not getting it done, you make a change to win the game. If you are a coach and don’t make decisions to win games rather than for future what ifs, then you don’t need to coach.

I agree. Nico isn’t where we hoped he would be or he’d be on the field. Heup would play him if he was our best chance to win. It’s just common sense.

Milton is here to stay. No reason to bench him at the point. Ugly wins are still wins. I’m done with Milton, but I also don’t see the need to bench him when the next best option is a true freshman with very little snap counts.

Yeah, because the old man that is Nick Saban has never seen a heavy run package before.

Nick Saban may be the best defensive coach EVER in college football vs the run. We beat him last year but it wasn't really our running game that did it.

Josh thinking, Nico is twice the player as Milton uhm I think I'll just hold him out even though I know he's better, cause they aren't paying me anything to amount to much and they don't care if we win or not, so I'll just go with Joe. yeah, be easy to win with Nico dem dar fans are smart but I'll just go this rough route.

Looking at the play calling, tells you what goes on during the week of practice. We had 2 weeks to prepare for this game, and it's telling how little changes from week to week. We are playing not to lose, and hoping the run game and defense can keep it close. It worked today, but it won't against Bama and the tougher teams left to play. The running game---we got some hoses that play hard on every run, but my God, mix it up from run the up the middle every play. And the defense won this game for us today hands down.

I've heard that every single week. I heard it last week about aTm..... and here we are.
So you’re telling me we won this game due to Milton?? Bahahahah. Our defense bailed us out, our run game was great along with special teams. I’m tired of you Milton sunshine pumpers at this point. It’s just plain silly. Milton is awful. Per my eyeballs and his stats as well. And we haven’t played great teams yet. If Milton can’t make better decisions than he did tonight then we have no chance against bama and Ga. Keep dreaming if you’d like.

I specifically said Milton hasn't won us ballgames. CAN'T YOU READ????

I said: he's not causing us to lose games.

Try to learn to read.

I really doubt there is anyone left who thinks Milton is the guy to get us any kind of championship. But, other than the very untimely INT he is a stabilizing force and when he does run can do damage with his legs. I guess my question is do we stick with his game management and just give up on the passing game realizing our WRs are not exactly world class either or do we go ahead and give Nico his chance? My honest opinion, while likely to be unpopular, is not to throw Nico into his first start at Tuscaloosa. Start Milton but have Nico ready if our passing game is as impotent as it was tonight. We could try the two QB thing too.
And here it is…
