Serious WR discussion

If I'm coaching receivers I'm telling them to focus on catching the ball. Don't care how you do it, just catch. A lot of the time this year, catching it would've been for good gains and first downs, sustaining drives. Just...catch...it.

Keyton has 2 catches in the last 2 games. When I saw him and Thornton on the field together I thought “well, no point in covering that side of the field”

He played…. somewhat ironically, he missed a pass that bounced into the arms of castles. His butter fingers actually helped.
I wondered which receiver that was…. The defender was on him pretty tight… I think the defender actually has a hand in there and knocked the ball out. The replays kind of sucked

Dude, he had no time much of the time. It takes more than 2-3 seconds for WRs to run their routes.
no...rewatch his throws...recvrs breaking open hes holding the ball and throwing late.course it didnt help when the ball finally arrived the db's were pulling our guys arms down. whats up w/ keyton and the drops, hell give webb a shot.

Joe Milton is trash; but we have a team full of 2’s and 3’s after the Bru injury. Last year we had 2 1’s and these guys that got open because of those 1’s.

We have what we have. I believe Heupel should have given more PT to these young WR's last year. Worked them in in certain situations. As fast as we played last year it would seem they would have gotten more time to help them this year. We are very young at WR this year. Keyton is a Sr. Squirrel is a Soph. Nimrod is a Frosh. Leacock is a Frosh and Thorton is a Jr but he really hasn't contributed due to injuries. While our most experienced WR is out for the season. It isn't just Joe guys. As bad as we want to put all the blame on him.

The receiving corps has missed Hyatt and Tillman this season.

Keyton has regressed a lot.

Nimrod and White have the chance to become special players.

I think Warren will become Milton's safety valve as the season progresses.

McCastles made a couple of important catches today.
I'm just puzzled that we can't involve our RBs in the passing game more than what we've seen... especially Sampson. Watched several games today and it seems to be not nearly so difficult as we seem to make it.

Hendon wouldn't fair much if any better than Joe this year with this group of WR's. Last year Tillam and Hyatt could stretch the field. This year we have no one that can get separation.

Keyton's problem is mental. For some reason he puts too much pressure on himself.

Needs a good talking to by a shrink.

Man I forgot about Tillman. He has 3 1’s.

Keyton is what he is. The fall practice notes were mentioning him having practices were he was struggling with drops.

I think it's time to look at benching Keyton

Nimrod and Webb seem more dynamic and dependable
I am not sure who UT has that can consistently catch Milton's fastball.... and his change up is usually off target. They're kind of stuck unless/until Nico is ready... which will probably be next year.
