Severe Weather Thread

You East Tennessee guys are soft. We use instinct, agility and athleticism to dodge tornadoes in W. TN. OK, let the bashing begin..:p

Get out of here! :)
Do you go outside and toss it a beer too?

You're like Bill Paxton in Twister, right? You reach down and play with dirt, and that's how you know.

I was inside. Me and my family all safe. I was sent this picture by a fireman I know. Just an update. As of right now no major injuries being reported. There were a few houses that took extensive damage. But no deaths as of now.

Good to hear, Toine. Wasn't meant to be a commentary on you :) Glad you're safe.

I don't know what you'll see, but the rain went completely sideways with 60 mph winds earlier here. Straight-line winds. You guys stay safe.

It's gonna be awhile before it gets here - have a small warning just north of us but I think the sirens are triggered county wide. News assured us it was not an issue for us.

Probably an hour or so before the big line gets here.

Yeah, some woman on Weather Channel just mentioned they activated them.

Never experienced that but I figure the sound of silence then tornado sirens going off in the black of night seems super eerie. Gives me goosebumps

I've noticed recently that the weather guys have been remarkably accurate about severe weather. This morning they told us that it was going to be crossing the river at 'x' time. Exactly then, it did. They said several tornadoes were going to hit in several areas, and when - and they did.

Dead on if you live in Birmingham - this guy is a local legend

Knox County now under Tornado Warning until 12AM for a system moving northeast from Sweetwater. Estimated to make its way towards Farragut in ~30 min. According to 6 Storm Team.
