You can watch a video of the tornado that hit my house if you go to whnt.com and look for harvest tornado

All together I have around 13 large trees down. Several windows broken, damaged siding, front porch roof and guttering. But compared to Vol Mania it's minor.

My mom has a friend that lives in Ringgold. We were going to go help her go through the pile that is her house and try to find anything to save. She called and said we could not come. That the police were not letting people in because they were using search dogs to find more bodies. She said that 5 people died within a 1/2 mile radius from her.

That makes my damages seem trivial at best.

I watched this the night it happened. One of my friends knows the guy that took the video.

When his voice broke a little, I started sobbing. He was feeling the devastation of the people instead of the excitement of the storm like so many people do. I have so much respect for this man, and don't even know him.

I hate to do this, but things are shaping up for another round of weather beginning late Saturday night. A cold front is approaching from the plains, around Colorado, with a low that will travel across the upper Mid-west. Another low will dive into Texas and then ride along with the cold front. As it approaches, that low will begin to pull warm moist air into Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi. Early estimates are for a slight chance of severe weather. However, early models are estimating anywhere from 5 to 7 inches of rain in many locations in Arkansas, North Mississippi, and West Tennessee.

I have found out in the last couple hours that a woman I used to work with was killed in Apison. And my husband works with a guy who lost his three month old son in Cleveland. I'm having a hard time handling this right now. A really hard time.

I had that thought too Mania. I suppose for all the "drama" the weather forecasters seem to create at times, this one paid off and people at least knew to be prepared and ready. Surely more people would've lost their lives if it weren't for the internet and cable and satellite. I'm sorry about your place, but glad you're okay!
