He be in Florida where I am. My taxes went down. We have no State Income Tax here just hurricanes.

There are two problems. First, Mexico is not sending anyone. He is implying that Mexico is sending its problem citizens like the Castro did with the Mariel boat lift. That isn't the case. Secondly, he says they aren't sending their best, they are sending people that have lots of problems. They are bringing drugs. They are bringing crime. They're rapists, and some I assume are good people.

Trump is certainly implying that the majority and there is an easy argument for vast majority of mexicans crossing the border are criminals (excluding the crime of trying to get into the US). It was and remains a disgusting statement. This country has and hopefully will always be a beacon of light for the suffering people around the world that want the shot at a better life. Now Trump, is demonizing those people with his words. There is no easy path to citizenship here and he is promoting hate of these people by calling them criminals.

Sure they (Mexico) are. The Guatamalans and Hondurans would be a problem (although not 'citizens') unless they pass them along to us.

And if they enter illegally, they are in fact criminals. If they stand on the Mexican side of the fence, they are not. they can come by established means. NOBODY has a problem with that.

What basis could the officer have had to believe he was drunk prior to an unconstitutional stop? “Unconstitutional,” by definition, requires that he didn’t see the hypothetical cup, does it not?

Or are you saying that police should be able to stop anybody traveling away from the general vicinity of a place where alcohol is served to demand sobriety checks?

I'm on record in thinking our DUI laws are complete bull. There should be no such thing as driving under the influence, there should only be reckless driving and crashing under the influence.

If your wife ( in almost every case ) has been a homemaker and you the one that was providing for the family since you got married , I agree with alimony until she can find a job that replaces the income . The alimony should be able to be adjusted according to her income and she should have to actively seek out an income . That’s it . Paying alimony in any other circumstance I don’t believe should be done .

Edit : you can use he instead of she if that’s the case .

Isn't it saddening that Trump condemns white supremacy and even advocates for an expedited death penalty for these type mass shooters yet the left continues to go on this narrative that Trump is a white supremacist?

It is really, really disgusting. You lefties talk about divisiveness, yet you all are basically calling the President complicit in/ responsible for mass murder. How the **** is that not divisive?

Was it Obama's fault that the Dallas police shooting happened? Absolutely not.

Is it Trump's fault that the El Paso shooting happened? Absolutely not.

I agree Mexico is not sending anyone, but they certainly aren't stopping illegal crossing are they?

Of the 15 that showed up in our town in one year one was charged with raping a 3 year old, 3 charged with indecency with a minor and i can't remember if it was 4 or 5 with drunk driving. Next year.. Wash rinse repeat.. That's just the ones within the village limits. The police hated when the season came around because they knew what was about to happen. You do the math. Trump wasn't wrong, your lofty view of what illegal immigration is is totally off the mark as far as what I've experienced. This is happening way beyond Michigan, it's throughout the country. To deny that is being intellectually dishonest about what some illegals bring to this country.
I've worked with legal and illegal immigrants side by side for 33 years both in a professional capacity and trades capacity. Of the illegal ones in trades...The money they earned, 75% went back to Mexico. Many were there on expired cards... Long expired cards. Only one left because his card was expiring. 1 out of 12.
I'm working with immigrants on work visas right now who are starting the process for citizenship. The way our countries law demands of all who want to come here and become a citizen. They are from Kenya, Nigeria and some other northern provinces of Africa. They respect the process and the law.
I have a passport, if i want to visit another county i can do so legally. Identifying myself so they know who i am and what I'm doing there. Do we get that from illegals once they have already crossed without identifying? No, they just fade into the country. now they have sanctuary cities shielding them from our laws. What's even more pathetic is the coaching they get on how to get around our laws. There's lofty ideals and then there's reality.
