I doubt they step on private property rights like that. And I doubt it over rules any government building bans. But I havent read it, so maybe?
Thing is, the city owns the stadium and leases it to the titans. There was a debate over this a few years ago when the tn guns in bars/churches thing passed. I've been doing some research this evening, but haven't found anything definitive.

Are you presenting this as hypocritical? Cause it's not.

The person doing it is accountable, not society. Not the gun.

If moral decay is the reason, why have violent crime statistics improved during our moral decay?

More police presence and support. The crime bill fits in there, doesn't it? I agree with you that ultimately it falls on the individual.

However, we have seen substantial increases due to a society that has accepted certain activities. We see common themes that we could address while holding the individual accountable. The ability to govern ourselves is the test of freedom and morality is the foundation of that. I'm not advocating for gov intervention on that. That's the difference.

Can anyone now carry a handgun into a Titans or sounds game? I know private businesses still have some authority to regulate who carries in their property, but what about stadiums owned by the government?
No you can’t because the Titans and NFL “own the rights” for their private events at the stadiums

Not sure.
I do know that places that do not allow carry are legally responsible for anyone that can’t defend themselves if something happens. At least that’s how the first cases have gone in Tennessee. That’s the reason Waffle House did away with their no firearms policy
No they aren’t legally responsible for that

They aren’t improved they are simply a difference in population and reporting data differently. What used to get counted as 4 or 5 different violent crimes on same incident now gets counted differently depending on city/state

Public stadium doesn’t mean anything. Titans and NFL pay to have private events there and they can do what they please

Because that's when carry permit laws started passing in many states.

You sure you want to go there? Lots of gun control items in the crime bill.

How do people explain other forms of moral decay being on the decline? Less drug use among teens. Less teen pregnancy. Etc. The moral decay is not what people like to think it is.

I believe the start of societies "moral decay" is rather recent. At least imo. Perhaps it's just recency bias. But again, I'll refer you to my agreement that it is on the individual

No it’s just in a few subset cultures of society. Inner city ghetto, white trailer park, drug culture in general

All the cases (last I checked) that went to court were won by the gun owners who were not allowed to carry.
And it’s not an extreme or fringe concept.
It was proposed here in Tennessee and could still become law.

Can't Bring Your Gun Inside? This State Might Let You Sue the Store Owner

I'm kinda on the fence about it.

I do think businesses which are private property do have the right to deny access based on armed or not armed status.

But I also believe a business then takes it upon themselves to provide for your security needs if they do prohibit firearms on the premises. I also believe them to be civilly liable if something was to happen to you while on their premises.

I'm stuck on this one.

Private property is private property. Should a person not be able to decide what comes onto their private property?

For me personally, I have no problem with concealed or open carry... To a point. I can't stand those egotistical assholes who walk around with their long gun slung over their shoulder trying to "make a point." The only point they're making is that they're overcompensating for something missing somewhere else.

I'm not so sure people are replying to any of these polls the way you think they are.
Lots of people have lost trust in people asking for data from them. Looks like that may have started around 2011.
Just a thought

That’s just it. It’s not private property. It’s a business that’s open to the public. We tell private companies all the time what they can and cannot do. Must have handicap restrooms….no discrimination in hiring practices ect.
