The public also has to meet certain standards as well. Shirts and shoes being the easiest to point to.That’s just it. It’s not private property. It’s a business that’s open to the public. We tell private companies all the time what they can and cannot do. Must have handicap restrooms….no discrimination in hiring practices ect.
And even beyond that the store can ask a member of the public to leave their property, and generally arent required to provide service to everyone who walks in the door.
